Scrap Your Trip B*L*O*W*O*U*T Part 1
Entry Filed under: Just Because
It’s hard to believe, but it’s almost time to go to the tradeshow again. The Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) show is in Anaheim in a little over a month and we’re starting all our preparations. This is the largest tradeshow of the year and it’s always a lot of fun (also a lot of hard work and a LOT of walking). To make room in the warehouse, we are having a 2-week BLOWOUT sale. We have over 130 items at 75% off (paper for $.17 per sheet!), over 140 items at 50% off and over 530 items at 25% off. Click here to see them all: http://www.scrapyourtrip.com/clearance.html Whatever is left from the 25% clearance will drop to 50% off next week, but we have less than 12 of each item on 25% clearance, so they are going to go quick! We also have an additional 600+ items to add to 25% clearance next week, so take inventory of your scrapbook stash, figure out what’s missing and get ready! What would you like us to look for at the show? New items… new categories… new vendors…Let us know! Please leave a comment on this post on the blog – we’ll print it out and take it with us. Click here and scroll down to the bottom to leave your requests: “http://site.scrapyourtrip.com/blog2/2008/01/09/scrap-your-trip-blowout-part-1/” Last, but certainly not least, I am proud to say that Scrap Your Trip is becoming a wholesaler! Click here: http://www.scrapyourtrip-wholesale.com to visit our wholesale site. Just provide us with a sales tax exemption certificate and we’ll send your login information right away. Please look for military items as patriotic items. I am especially interested in Army digitized camo, dress blues, and Class A’s. (Dress blues and Class A’s are not the same thing. Class A’s are green.) I am also interested in Vietnam, as well as WWI and WWII items.
Also please look for more dog items, especially black dogs.
2. Judy Johnston&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 11:33 am
Pls look for dog stuff…. especially paper and embellishments.
Also, keep in mind “agility”: equipment used in agility especially the teeter (see-saw), A-frame, dog walk, table, chute, tunnel and jumps. There are many of us in the sport of dog aglity who scrapbook!!! I could drum up a lot of business for you. smile. Have fun at the show!

I would love to have motorcycle themed products that are not harley davidson related. my husband and I have 3 motorcycles between us (2 Buell’s and 1 Yamaha) and I take photos when we go on rides and as of yet I haven’t been able to find much in the way of supplies that don’t say Harley.
4. Suzie Campbell&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 11:36 am
At CHA please look for different Cross Country (running) paper & embellishments! I’ve only been able to find about 3 different kinds of paper and all my layouts are starting to look the same!
Thanks!

6. Sally Wright&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 11:45 am
How about some prom things. . . it’s getting to be that time of year, & I can find lots of wedding stuff, but not a lot of things specifically for prom. thanks!

Hmmm….product requests… I always seem to have a hard time finding the following stickers/die cuts:
Tractors
Horses (anything new?)
4H
Shooting Sports (Rifle, archery)
Snow Shoes
Motorcyles – Dirt Bikes not Harleys
Hockey
I am always interested in new camping stickers, winter stickers, horses/western, hiking, etc. since I live in the mountains.
Thanks for the great work!
8. Celia Crowley&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 11:49 am
More things about Jesus and Christmas-after all, He IS the reason for the season! And Easter or “Resurrection Day” items, too.
Thanks!!!!!
9. Stacy&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 11:49 am
I have a hard time finding embellishments related to snowmobiling and snowshoeing, so anything for those activities would be great! I also love to see new things for golfing and hunting. Thanks!
10. Susan Carter&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 11:51 am
Enjoy the show. I’m always looking for more military-especially Coast Guard which is difficult to find. Also can’t find as much food, wine, beer etc related stickers as I would like.
11. Pat&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 11:51 am
I am interested in Orchestra and Choir….concerts and competitions! My daughters (7th and 11th grade) are in Orchestra. Our high school symphonic Orchestra is State Ranked. It is a “BIG” thing in this area….but it is very hard to find anything much for Orchestra.
I am also interested in vacation “stuff”….not so much cruises, or paradise resorts (Disney), ….but places families used to travel to for fun vacations….like Williamsburg, VA….Myrtle Beach….Key West, FL…..Smokey Mountains…..Mount Rushmore….Grand Canyon. Have a great time at the show!
12. Tricia Anderson&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 11:53 am
Please check into adding Me & My Big Ideas – it is by far my favorite line of scrapbooking items. Also, more cute little-girl ballet/tap dance stuff, like paper & stickers. There is alot of pointe-ballet out there, but I don’t have much for little ones (age 4-6). Oh, one more request…how about adding some character stickers, like Disney or Nickelodeon (i.e. Dora). Thanks for asking for our input! Have fun!!!
13. Amy&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 11:54 am
As other people mentioned, I would love to see more stickers for soccer goalies and running/track. Some of the other categories in my scrapbooks are family/home, family game night (board/card games), friends (my friends and my kids’ friends), quilting/quilts, archery, hiking & nature exploration, trees, and riding bikes (self-propelled, not motor).
Thank you – and have a wonderful time!
14. LauraP&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 11:56 am
I would like the new paper coming out from Teresa Collins. She is going to be a CHA please stop by. I especially interested in the Bella paper. Her blog where she talks about it is here http://teresacollins.typepad.com/teresa_collins/2008/01/is-it-really-th.html

16. Amanda&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 11:57 am
More heritage and ancestry related items. So many of us are doing family scrapbooks and we don’t always want the “antique” looking items that seem to be available.
17. Cate&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 12:03 pm
Hello ~ Please look for BALLROOM DANCING items – stickers, papers, cutout whatever!! It’s a hobby of mind and so hard to find these items for my pictures! Thanks in advance.

19. Tambra&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 12:08 pm
I would like to echo the comments about archery, also types of dance other than ballet (lyrical, tap, modern, ballroom). Kayaking is another one that is hard to find.
20. Laurie&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 12:09 pm

I would like to see more spiritual (angel) items. And of course patriotic/military as I have a son and son-in-law in military. Also, normal family vacations (not just the blow-out vacations ie… Disney, Cruises, Exotic Beaches). Also I have a friend getting into Scrapbooking and they are civil war re-enactors and we are having issues finding items for her to use.
Thanks for all your hard work! But have Fun looking at all the great supplies. I envy you!!!

32. Sandi Davis&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 12:54 pm
Look for vinyl 12×12 photo pages that hold 8 (4 per side) 4×6 photos, landscape, with 1″ area for notations or quotes above each picture. I LOVE THEM, and I can not find them anywhere.
You had them before and I use them all the time in my scrapbooks for keeping all my photos and memories together in one place.
Also, denim or blue jean 12×12 paper
Good luck, and thank you for asking and for looking for us.
Sandi
33. Wendy&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 12:59 pm
I’d love to see paper that pertains to scrapbooking! I am a member of a scrapbooking group and we plan “events” and then scrap the photos after those events. Unfortunately, there isn’t any background paper out there that shows scrapbooking themes!
34. Sharon&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 1:03 pm
If you could find more items for running. Paper, stickers and emblishements would be great.
35. Betsey Holzhauer&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 1:07 pm
I would second the request for more RVing themes. They have been pretty hard to find until recently.
You are the greatest! Have a great time.
Betsey
36. Kristina Taylor&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 1:16 pm
Please look for cheerleading items. I am a HS cheer
coach and I do a scrapbook for my Seniors every year
but it is hard to find different things.
37. Joyce Castle&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 1:22 pm
Would you please look for more materials for the Dutch scrapbooking. I am of Dutch descent and will be doing a family scrapbook, but have found very few items with a Dutch theme. Thank you.
38. Jane Gregory&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 1:28 pm
I’ve been looking for paper, stickers, etc., that would be appropriate for scrapping southern destinations, such as Savannah. You know, big magnolia trees, plantations, magnificent oaks w/moss hanging from the branches. Whatever you think. Thanks.
39. Nancy Holaday&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 1:30 pm
I would love to see items on:
scrapbooking
sewing or seamstress
crewing (rowing)
Thanks for letting give input.
40. Dolores&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 1:32 pm
Hi Julie, Have a great ttime at CHA. How I wish I could go with you.
I would like for you to find paper, die cuts, stickers about Israel. We are traveling there in March and I want some travel type paper of Israel and some name sheets of cities in Israel. Also, die cuts of the different churches, museums, etc. What you have now for Israel is more for the Jewish faith. We will also be going to Egypt on the same trip. You do have some nice items for Egypt, but some different kinds of paper and interesting die cuts and stickers..three dimensional.
Also, as listed above, some nice papers from the different National Parks…..Rocky Mountain, Smokey Mountain, Yellowstone, stickers and die cuts. We are going to Miami next week and would like some nice travel paper but not all the beach stuff. We willl do some walking along the beach but no swimming etc. Oh, and maybe soime interesting items, paper, stickers, die cuts, for people who do metal detecting. My hubbby got me a metal detector for Christmas and we are taking it with us to hunt for things on the beaches in Florida. I am hooked on the program “Best Places to Find Cash and Treasure”, so I want to start scrapbooking those times when I am using the metal dector and digging for treasure.
Thanks for asking for our input. Sounds like you will be looking for a lot of things while there.
Enjoy yourself, have fun and take pictures of the show.
41. Cande Lazenby Fudge&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 1:37 pm
I would love to find anything for kayaking!! I would also love to see more items on RV’ing, camping, soccer and scrapbooking events. Is there any paper available that is specific to soccer’s World Cup? Keep up the great work!
42. Dolores&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 1:38 pm
Oh, I forgot too, some papers and stickers for butterflies. Every time we go somewhere we look for “Butterfly Gardens” in those locataions. We take tons of pics of the butterflies in these indoor “gardens”, and I haven’t found much in the way of good looking papers with nice tropical floweres and butterflies. We are going to “Butterfly World,” in Miami. They have over 5,000 tropical butterflies fluttering around as well as hummingbirds, and “lorikeets.” So even some great bird paper for birdwatching would be great. We go “birding” on every trip we take too and would love to be able to have some great wild bird paper to put the pics on. Hawks, songbirds, owls, flamingoes, ducks, etc.
You are thinking, gee, anything else. LOL Thanks ever so much.
43. Dolores&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 1:43 pm
Also some paper, die cuts, etc., for scrapbooking conventions. It’s getting harder and harder to find scrapbooker’s papers, etc., to do the conventions I attend. I still have to scrap the CK Convention in Kansas City, and I can’t find the right kind of paper for it: like the vendors, me shopping at them, and also the night time crops.
whew, now I think I’ve covered all that I am looking for….I hope. Enjoy it all.
44. Betty Kizer&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 1:45 pm
I second the request for items related to Savannah, GA. What a beautiful place. My two daughters and I are all scrappers and we went on a get-a-way to Savannah last year. We visited the LSS, but they had just had a big convention in town and were out of all things Savannah.
Thanks, Betty

I don’t even know if this exists, but if you could help me I’d so appreciate it; adoption from the birthmother/family’s angle. Not all babies put up for adoption are a “throw away” situation. Some of these mother’s put their babies up for adoption because they put their baby’s wellbeing and what was best for the baby before their own personal wants. These babies are never forgotten to the mother’s and families who put their babies best interest as the priority. We always remember them and pray that their new family loves them as much as we still do. Thank you for whatever you can do.

I would like to see more 8×8 paper and albums, I plan do my Alaska trip, Valentines, birthday cards, aniversary cards, new baby girl, graduation, and a memorial album for my in-laws, (i need some nurse stuff for this one)
I went to recipe class last nite (first class in 10 years it was fun) I have lots of stuff and plans , just need to get to work and maybe shop a little more!
47. Abbie Zimmerman&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 2:01 pm
WooHoo! Product Requests! I would love to see more cat stuff – there seems to be a prevalence of doggie supplies but in my opinion, kitty scrapbook materials are hard to come by.
I would also really love to see more in the way of tractors, farms, barns, John Deere etc…
Thank you &Have a great time!!
48. Terri Liddle&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 2:09 pm
Taekwondo papers/stickers, etc.
or generic martial arts (stuff that doesn’t say “Karate”,
more race-themed stuff/go carts too,
miniature golf stuff,
and scrapbooking-themed items!!!
Thanks for all you do!
49. Erin Bush&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 2:12 pm
I would love to see some stuff on Williamsurg, Jamestown or Yorktown. Just got back from an awsome trip!! Thanks!
50. Bryce Babcock&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 2:15 pm
Hope you’ll look for items related to travel to different countries. We’re especially interested in Ireland and Scotland just now, but hope to do more travelling to other countries in the future. We try to make a scrapbook for every trip using our own photographs. Scrap Your Trip is the best source we’ve found yet for these scrapbooks. Representations of well-known landmarks, names of places and interesting quotations that are related to travel are all welcome, plus attractive fillers of flowers, trees, animals, costumes, etc. that relate to various countries. Thanks!
Bryce
51. Danette&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 2:27 pm
It’s all about volleyball at our house. I really like the raise bubble stickers. I find it hard to get a variety of different stickers, rub-on type stuff.
52. DJ McVicar&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 2:36 pm
I would love to have a die cut for zip-linning.
53. Gwen Blair&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 2:37 pm
Wow! So many suggestions, I’ll bet you almost wish you hadn’t asked! I appreciate that you did, though. My son is a Senior Agent with the U. S. Border Patrol. My daughter-in-law and I NEVER find anything about Border Patrol. Since the BP is now part of the Department of Homeland Security, and such a huge part of our national security, I think there would be a good market for albums, papers, embellishments, etc. Thanks so much and have a great time at CHA.
54. violet masotti&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 2:45 pm
More “baby” and school paper and stickers
55. Elaine Smith&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 2:48 pm

More hockey related anything.
57. Katey Ballard&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 3:23 pm
Organ Donation/Transplant. I’ve been looking for scrapbook “stuff” related to organ donation/transplants for EVER!!! I would really like to be able to find some, and I’m sure there is some somewhere out there? At least I hope. I have been unsuccessful in locating any anywhere else, including all online stores. Organ Donation is very important to me, as I have had an organ transplant and I want to “scrap” that journey! Thanks!
58. Katey Ballard&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 3:30 pm
Also, more lake stuff (more “modern” looking). Ex: seadoo, water skiing, etc. Not lake related to camping or in the woods. Just a normal day at the lake. I have a lake house in Alabama and I spend a lot of my summer there!
Also, medical scrapbooking stuff and anything related to charity walks (EX: walks for cancer, diabetes, etc. But maybe not with the names, just general charity stuff for events, etc.). That would be awesome!
59. Pam&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 3:32 pm
Scottie Dogs, new Scouting products (for boys and girls) and anything with submarines. Have fun!
60. Jodie&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 3:34 pm

65. Janet Erickson&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 4:36 pm
I would like more lake stickers and embellishments–not sea or seashore and not related to fishing; nature and wildlife (especially deer); baseball pitchers–not all players are homerun hitters, rowing and curling (we have the Olympic gold men’s curling team and the bronze women’s team from our small town).
66. Pam Adcock&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 4:36 pm

74. Bonnie Fast&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 5:35 pm
There are a lot of us who have been traveling Route 66 and take lots of pictures. Would love to see some items for the pages we make from those photos.
Also, some Christmas papers, etc, for those of us who spend that time in the sunshine. I know there are papers, etc, from Australia, but that is a lot of shipping for paper!
Thanks. And welcome to my town…Anaheim.
75. Sheila Moore&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 5:40 pm

76. Barbara Patton&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 5:47 pm
I have been trying to find paper and accessories from Curacao, the Panama Canal, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Istanbul, Croatia (Dubrovnik especially), Capri, Dominica, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland and have had little success. We have visited these last year and I want to do scrapbooks to share with the grandchildren. If you bring back anything that relates to these, I will be delighted!! Thanks for having a great selection of travel items!! Have fun in Anaheim—one of my favorite areas of the world.
77. Terri Brewster&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 5:47 pm
Julie,
I would love to be there with you shopping away, but since I can’t, I do have a few requests. I started scrapbooking when my son was little, well he is now 17. The scrapbooking stuff out there for teenagers is lacking. I don’t mean the first car, prom scrapbooking, but the sports and guys hanging out, surfing, golf team, any gaming like xbox just isn’t out there that I have seen. I ended up having to paper piece my own stuff for first shave. The little kids stuff is plentiful, but the kids do grow up and I would love to see some new teenage boy stuff, please!!
Have a great trip!
Terri
78. Barbara Patton&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 5:54 pm

79. Betty Dooley&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 5:55 pm
I need more Europe #34163 paper; you’re currently out of stock. I’m scrapping our vacation and would appreciate items appropriate for Sweden, Denmark, Estonia, Russia, Poland, Latvia, and Lithuania.
I must say that by the time I’m finished with this project which will fill two scrapbooks, the scrapping will be almost as expensive as the cruise! But I’m really enjoying it, Thanks for your help.

Junior and Senior Prom items from the guys perspective!

Thanks for the opportunity to put in my 2 cents!
Anything that promotes scrapbooking as a hobby (or avocation!) – keychains, notepads, t-shirts, ornaments,

Hi,
The show sounds like a LOT of fun! I’ve been looking for skydiving/parachuting stickers for several years and have never been able to find any.
Also–anything to do with breast cancer, I’m participating in an Avon Walk this summer and it seems like there are only a handful of the same stickers/die cuts out there.
Have fun!
93. Pam&hellip | January 9th, 2008 at 8:29 pm
It would be great if you could get more stuff for men.
deer hunting
fishing
big rigs (ex. Peterbuilt)
John Deere
cooking out on grills
golf
Can you tell I’m surrounded by men? LOL It’s hard to find stuff for them.
Thanks

I am doing a scrapbook of my Dad who was born in 1919 and I would like to see vintage paper with cars, toys, old gas pumps/stations and whatever.
I live in rural Northeastern California near Lassen Volcanic National Park and I’m 3 hours away from the Lava Beds Nat’l Park, and a few hours away from Lake Tahoe and Virginia City. California is not just S.F. & L.A. and Reno, NV isn’t just gambling. More Nature, Desert, and old west paper would be swell.

I’ve seen other comments on this but wanted to add my own, I attend a lot of broadway plays and can never find anything for those and some ballroom dancing stuff, mostly all the dancing is ballet and tap. Also concerts are another thing that’s difficult to find anything on.
Thanks for asking and I hope you find some stuff !!

Wow you have a host of requested items to look for I almost feel bad adding to it … but here it goes any ways !!! I lost my 19 year old son in a Motorcycle accident 15 months ago so I would love to see more Items on In memory of and of course items that pertain to his interests… NASCAR I see you have some but he really loved Dale #3 (the day he passed was a dark day in our home) Chris also loved his 1970 Chevy Pick up, and the street bike he wrecked on so I would really like to see some of those items as well. I have been looking around and just haven’t been able to find any of these items as for NASCAR you have the biggest selection I have run across but would love to get my hands onto die cuts, stickers & paper with Dale Sr in/on them if possible. Julie – we are so jealous that you get to play with all that fun stuff in Anaheim! I will add my vote for more stuff to highlight scrapbooking – crops, retreats, workshops, etc. I have several of these that I want to put in one album. Also, there is a company that has dinosaur paper – two different designs. I need just a couple of sheets for highlighting pics of dinosaur tracks in Australia. Also, other areas in Australia such as Outback, Darwin, Cairns, Brisbane – Australia is more than Sydney and the bridge and the opera house. Any of that would be wonderful. Have a great time – thanks for all you do. Love your store and your site. Loine
106. Ann Riley&hellip | January 10th, 2008 at 12:36 am
It is so hard to find real boy stuff – boy’s activities, boy’s interests . . . Everything is stripes and dots and flowers and paisley and Disney. I want more dirt bikes, more “all American Boy” stickers and paper. Scrapbooking is just leaning towards girls and their paper, their stickers, their interests. Give me some boy stuff! Thanks!

Julie, I agree with many of the requests:
-WNBA, woman’s professional basketball, (go Seattle)
-Prom night – a little classy not so metallic kids pictures should shine more than paper
-Die cuts for scrapping recipe books – fruits, vegtables, flour & sugar sacks etc
-New house, house construction etc
thanks

Thanks for your offer – you have a lot of requests to look through! I would be interested in paper and stickers that would be suitable for college related albums. Julie, If you get a chance would you check out a line by a company called Graphic 45 Baby2Bride. I saw these online and they looked like they had some great papers you could use for ANYTHING. Lots of general patterns that I felt I could use in many different categories. Despite the name of the line it seems to have just a few pieces that are baby or bride and the rest are just for in between with no restrictions. I can’t be the only one that has some pictures for every album that just are, but not really the theme but connected.
Thanks Judy

For the last few years I have traveled to different countries in Europe. I have trouble finding paper suitable for scrapping ruins. I have seen so many and would like to have papers that have faded ruins in the background. Also I would like stickers, die cuts, etc. of old stone columns, tumbled stones, anything that looks like ruins. I also need stickers of helicopters. I can find military ones, but I need just plain helicopters. Any thing you can find to help me out, I would appreciate it. Thanks a bunch!!!

I don’t know if you’re still checking these, but I have a hard time finding Niagara Falls related items. I know you have a Niagara Falls paper on the site, (and that’s the best NF accessory I’ve seen yet), but it’s just so hard to believe that it’s such a big tourist attraction, but there are very few scrapping accessories for it.

I saw you had many foreign country items on sale. I hope that doesn’t mean you are cutting out your foreign country inventory! You are the only site I have found that carries supplies for most foreign countries, especially the less traveled countries like Portugal and Peru. I love the stickers from Stampingstation, SRM, and others that have city and site names-they make great titles for my pages.

Wow so much has been suggested but am still looking for more adult cycling that is not mountain biking-the bikes look the same to me but the tires are slick and are meant for street riding.
Although there are many who are adopting from Asia, there is still a need for more Asian based embellishments.
Also, what about carrying Queen and Co? Their new felt line with flowers and borders is absolutely fabulous. The go well for cards and for scrapbooks.
Like anyone going on a trip, bring me home a surprise!!
