Scrap Your Trip Adds 111 Items – Polls for New Companies & New Ideas
Entry Filed under: New Items Added
I just came back from the Photo Marketing Association Tradshow in Las Vegas. You know how sometimes you find out about a whole world that you never knew existed? It was kind of like that. I’ve never seen so many cameras and lenses and accessories in my life. The show was the biggest I’ve ever been to – two stories! I wore my pedometer and the second day we took over 19,000 steps (you’re supposed to shoot for 10,000 per day but I’m lucky if I get 4,000). By the end of the day, I was sitting on a staircase at the Bellagio hotel, pretty much in tears, because my feet hurt so bad they were numb and I couldn’t take another step! All in all, I’m glad I went because I found about a lot of awesome things going on in the photography industry that I didn’t know about. Our laser company was there and we saw tons of creative things we could do with photographs with the laser. As I research all the ideas for “ScrapYourTrip worthiness”, I will keep you posted. Some of the ideas are listed in a poll on the blog so I know which direction to look in first. I also posted pictures from the show on the blog – scroll down to take a look. I didn’t even bother to put away the suitcase, because we are leaving Saturday to go to CHA in Anaheim to pick out new scrapbook products. We have lots of product requests to keep an eye out for – if you haven’t had a chance to put your request yet, time is running out! Lots of you have asked us to pick up some new companies. We also put a poll on the blog for this to help us decide. (I’ve gone poll happy today!) We have 111 new items this week. Many of you requested the “Magic Meals” collection from Creative Imaginations to help scrapbook your Disney character meals. It’s here this week, along with matching SYT die cuts. We have a “Snow Days” collection from CI too. Celebrating a milestone birthday? Reminsce has a line of papers and stickers to celebrate the 16th, 21st, 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th and 70th. Just for me, Tiffany designed a die cut that says “40 is the new 30.”

The biggest photo printer I have ever seen in my life!

This is about a quarter of the Cannon Booth

Would love to see more paper, embellishments, sayings, stickers etc about the actual hobby of scrapbooking. Those that go to crops and take photos during those crops and scrap them need more of a selection of items for this enjoyable experience.

Need some papers and embellishments from Croatia and Turkey, similar to those that you have for some of the other European countries i.e. Germany, Belgium and France. We are going on cruise of the Greek Isles this summer and have ports in these two countries. Will be ordering supplies from Italy and Greece prior to our sailing so I’m ready to get down to scrapping when we return. Have a great time in CA.

I would like to see more paper for doing albums of the 40′s, 50′s, 60′s, etc. Daisy D’s has some great Christmas paper for those eras. Kazoo Kids is great too, but they seem more geared towards boys. Would like to find stuff about little girls of the fifties, with dolls, and tea sets and such.

I would like to see some embellishments geared for sheriff’s dept’s and deputy sheriff’s-they are not the same as a city police officer. Majority of the deputies wear brown (Minnesota) where as a police officer wears blue (mostly nationwide), also their badges are different. Also ranks of officers such as Patrol, Sergeant, Lt, Captain and Commander.

I would love to see paper and embellishments for the sport of backcountry and desert jeeping. We belong to a jeep club that is over 50 years old and take many jeeping trips together. Thank you for searching the sport of jeeping.

Our gymnastics club is always looking for new gymnast related stickers, 3D embellishments and paper!
9. Lisa&hellip | February 6th, 2008 at 4:20 pm
I agree with Karen about more everything to do with scrapbooking itself. I attend a lot of crops with friends and would love to capture these in a scrapbook. Also more moving paper, embellishments and stickers. Enjoy California.
10. Sandy B.&hellip | February 6th, 2008 at 4:46 pm
I also would love to see more Jeeping paper, stickers, etc. My husband is involved in a Jeep Club and it is very hard to find anything for Jeeping. Thanks for looking!!

I would like to see a IVF range as this is a journey well worth scrapping.

With two kids in college, I’d love to see more college-related items, especially paper /stickers /embellishments for specific colleges.
Could also use items about flying current-day small planes (Cessna, King Air). Most flight stuff out there now is for vintage aircraft or jets.

Hi, I just love your new laser cuts for Chinese New Year. I am always on the hunt for Chinese New Year products since we celebrate this every year. It’s also called the Spring Festival..
I also would like to see more dance & gymnastic stuff. Like meeting goals and moving on to the next level, also for beginning young kids in gymnastics. Not towards competition so much. Also preparing for dance rehearsals.. They are so cute putting on their make up, receiving the costumes is a huge excitement, learning the line ups for their dance numbers, watching behind the curtain for their cue, taking their pictures with their costumes, etc….
I am looking for Die Cuts for Troy University and I have searched high and low for Die Cuts for a light grey colored hammock.. The kind you lay on. I also would like to see more Die Cuts and stickers towards The Florida Keys similar to the beautiful colors you already have in the Stamping Station for Key West. Its the great architecture, the buildings we admired and I’d love to see in a border or stickers, etc. A map of the Florida Keys in stickers would be great. Some stickers about Ripleys museum, the Audubon House, Hemingways home, etc. Stickers or a die cut of a Royal Poinciana tree would be awesome. I could not find enough about St. Augustine, or Destin Florida or the Blue Angels show and museum we went to. Or for museums period. Sedona Arizona is on my list with the sunsets, hiking – Devils Bridge, Monument Valley in Utah, horse back riding stickers in the mountains, slow white water rafting down the Colorado River specifically in Glen Canyon, Stone Mountain Georgia, Callaway Gardens in GA, Ruby Falls in Tennessee, Tuckaleechee Caverns in Townsend, TN, not enough on Grand Cayman, BI or even coconuts, land crabs, etc. Costa Rico and volcanoes, iguanas is another one I can’t find – large green ones. And back to China, I’d love to see more on Beijing and some of the sights like The Great Wall, Tiannanmen Square, the Ming Tombs, etc.. Ok, now you know about some of our trips…
Signed,
Always Hunting – Veronica Myers-Fuqua

I would like to see more papers, stickers, diecuts of Austria and the 3 Day breast cancer walk. Thanks!
16. Veronica Myers-Fuqua&hellip | February 6th, 2008 at 7:13 pm
Hi,
I forgot.. Can you make a laser Die Cut for Chinese new Year from last year? It was called year of the pig (for 2007 of course). I also need diecuts or stickers for Dragons and Rams. These are Chinese zodiac animals.
Thank you,
Veronica Myers-Fuqua

I would only like to add that you are my favorite scrapbook site. I would like to see some of the kits that are offered by Bo Bunny and Basic Grey. Thank you.

If possible I would love to see more papers and die cuts on Taiwan. We will be visiting soon and I would like to be able to scrapbook the trip. Thanks so much.

Please pick up some Color guard items. There are some really nice cheerleading and marching band stuff out there but virtually nothing for color guard.
Many thanks.
20. Jeannette M&hellip | February 6th, 2008 at 7:52 pm
I would love to see more things for marching band…my daughter is in the high school marching band and all the mothers are looking for things. You seem to have the best selection out there, but would love more. Thanks.

Julie, I want to know what you thought about the printers that do 12×12 printing. Did you look at any? I am thinging of getting the Canon 6000 later this year to do 12×12. I do not plan to get into digital scrapbooking as much as I want to be able to make paper backgrounds for things I cannot buy. Like papers to do all my daughters, myself and ex’s college days on. We went to Louisiana Tech University and there is NOTHING available scrapbooking wise for those. I can get the U of Washington scrapbooking papers where my son went, but one out of four isn’t good enough
. I plan to use the UW ideas and do similar things but from Louisiana Tech.
As far as new paper, please find some nice universal prints and stripes that wwe can mix and match for general scrapbooking the are NOT aged around edges like basic grey is. I am old enough that anything faded or aged is not pleasing. Thanks.

My son is a conductor (Broadway) and archivist of lost music theater shows. I would like to see papers, die cuts, etc for theater/music/concerts/shows besides a stage and curtains. Anything for actual Broadway shows
23. Sherry&hellip | February 6th, 2008 at 10:12 pm
I would love some products relating to the Dallas Stars hockey team, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Texas Rangers baseball team.

Julie,
Sounds like you had a good time in Las Vegas. Thanks again for asking about scrapbooking items. I checked out some of the websites you were asking about. All I can say is I guess those of us who have boys are just out of luck. Everything is so girlie. All I can say is anything for teenage boys.
Maybe I should design a line for those of us with boys.
Thanks for always caring about our opinions. Your company truly is my favorite scrapbooking supply. I do love the stuff that comes from Paper Wizard. She has some amazing travel stuff. Especially the National Park stuff.
Have another great trip.

I would like to see more paper and stickers for Canada, especially Victoria, Quebec City, Toronto, Nova Scotia, Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper National Park, Yoho National Park. Also, more on San Antonio, especially the Riverwalk. Bandelera (? )in New Mexico, more with the architecture and food of Albuquerque and Santa Fe, candelarias, silver jewelry, Indian baskets, and blankets, etc. More on the Amish communities. What
about Atlanta, Charleston, Savannah, the Newport, RI mansions, Louisiana bayou country, Cajun music and cooking?

This has always been my favorite site. I work on my high school 45th reunion committee. I would like to see paper, embellishments and stickers to use for class reunion activities, dinner-dances, trips – bus, cruises, trains, picnics etc. Also papers to use for memorials.
I also like papers and embellishments that are about on- board cruisings – boarding, captains night, casino, other ship activities, etc. Maybe some gambling boat paper.
I am African American and would like to see more papers, embellishments and stickers which show diversity in people of color. I know a teenager in a wheelchair and I would like to do pages about her using paper and embellishments which could also included people with handicaps, in wheelchairs, walkers or seeing impaired.
You have a great company and a great team of workers. Your are a store house of finding the hard to find. Thank you so much

I am the club historian for our local corvette club. I belong to the Glass City Corvette Club which is a member of the National Council of Corvette clubs. I am really having a hard time finding any embellishments that have corvettes or corvette related themes. Any suggestions or do you think you will have something along these lines soon?
28. Jennifer&hellip | February 7th, 2008 at 10:34 am
Hey, I have sent several e-mail to you about our local Florida collages but have never heard anything back. So my request is still the sames. Like UCF and Florida “Gator” Stuff— Papers and embelishments.
You so luch to be going to CA I am jealous !!!

Julie, I LOVE your new magazine transparencies! (Militaria, Outdoor Life, etc.) Would you please find one that’s about scrapbooking? I’ve got covers for all four of my guys, but none yet for my daughter, who’s a scrapbooker, magazine editor, cat lover, and dedicated book reader. Thanks for asking for our suggestions again. It’s fun to be able to contribute toward what we might be seeing next on your site, which is my favorite.
30. Heather Casto&hellip | February 7th, 2008 at 1:21 pm
I can’t think of anything that I would like fo you to add, with my husband being in the military and we traveling all the time and all the places we have lived, I just love your site because I can get things that I can’t find anywhere else, I like all the states and the countries that I can scrap where we have lived or traveled to because you have it on your site, I even loved that you had vietnam stuff so that I was able to scrap my dads pictures he had taken when he was there in the Marines. I just want to say, keep up the good work finding stuff that you don’t find most other places, because most other sites, have all the same stuff or stuff I can get at the store, but yours is unique.
Thanks

I would like to see more RV and camping items and Mardi Gras.
Thanks
32. Gail Lutters&hellip | February 7th, 2008 at 3:19 pm
Would love to see more stateside cities. And for all the RVers out there we’d love to see more of them. Could we somehow do a popup camper? They seems to be lost in the inbetween of camping and motor home travelling. I’d also like to see some housebuilding stuff as I have gone to the Gulf Coast 3 times to work on hurricane relief.
33. Gail Lutters&hellip | February 7th, 2008 at 3:25 pm
oh yeah! Boston and the Newport, RI mansions. I haven’t been able to find anything for RI except Providence and we didn’t go there…
Definitely my favorite site for a long time now. And so responsive to the customers too.
34. Ann Blazovic&hellip | February 7th, 2008 at 4:48 pm
Looks like you have a good time at the show. Think we could get that giant printer to print pictures of Brad Pitt for us? (kidding)
I was looking for some items for a “girlfriends” theme. I get together with other friends I have had for life and also we do a lot of sister weekends and I think some friends for adults stuff would be great. Kinda like “girls gone wild or girls night out” idea.
Thanks, Annie

I, like Veronica would love to see more Florida, esp. Key West items since we go yearly. I also would love to see Galapagos Island and Machu Picchu items along with India since we will be traveling to these places this March and November.
I have wondered whether it would be possible to die cut a basket ball uniform out of designated colors and then I could put my son’s specific number. There is a lot of basketball embellishments but I have found no kelly green in any of the uniforms and all existing uniforms have a number–doesn’t seem like it would be too hard to individualize …Thanks!
