Scrap Your Trip Adds 126 Items – Preorder K&Co for One Week

Entry Filed under: New Items Added

You know how something can be a lot of fun but a lot of work at the same time? That’s what it’s like ordering new products when we come back from a tradeshow. We brought back over 200 pounds of catalogs! ( I know the weight because our suitcases were too heavy and we spent about 15 minutes rearranging everything to get them all under 50 pounds). We’re making progress and I wanted to give you an update on how it’s going. Based on your requests, we will be adding Bazzill and Basic Grey. We are going to be ordering every current color of Bazzill 12×12 cardstock. Yes, all the new Birthstone Colors. Yes, all the Bling. It’s almost 600 colors! We will be selling them by the sheet, so you will be able to get just the colors you need. The new paper racks are here (all 16 of them!) and the order will be going in today. I can’t even imagine how many boxes are going to come in at once – we’ll be sure to take pictures to share. I hope to have the Basic Grey order together this week. I’m having trouble deciding which collections to order, so if you have any suggestions, please make sure to post them on the blog. We are trying something different this week. There are always collections we see that don’t really fit into our usual product mix. I’ve always wanted to have a section called “This Has Nothing To Do With Travel But It Was So Cute I Just Had To Order It”, but that’s too long of a name. :-) Two of the best collections we saw were the “Berry Sweet” and “Rough & Tumble” lines from K&Co (my absolute fave is not available until end of April). You can pre-order this collection until 3/11/2008. We will place the order with K&Co on 3/12/08. Estimated ship date for these products is 4/7/2008. Since it’s going to be awhile before this product is available, don’t place any other products on the same order that you are in a hurry for – we are going to hold any orders with these items until the product arrives from K&Co. Hope you like the new idea! You can see the items here: http://www.scrapyourtrip.com/preorder.html We also have 126 items of “typical” Scrap Your Trip products. We have St. Patrick’s Day (great for those Ireland pages), Out West, boy and girl soccer, theme park, and Bike Week. We have products for scrapping home improvement (the first scrapbook I ever made) and moving. We even made a custom address plaque for your new home address! We have some gorgeous Old World style map paper and travel toppers from Travel Expressions. Lastly, since “March Madness” has begun, we’ve added some new basketball items. We have a SYT designed basketball jersey that you can customize in your school’s colors and we will personalize it with a name and number. We’re always trying to design things that are unique and I can guarantee that you won’t find a personalized basketball jersey anywhere else! We’re working on designing ones for all the other sports, so stay tuned. One problem with a new SYT die cut. The boy basketball player SYT-2085 is more man than boy. I need to scrap my grandson’s pictures from this first year of basketball. Julie he is 9, an average size BOY. Could Tiffany look at your son please and do one younger :-) Judy

I love the new items. I always come to your site for all my vacation scrapping needs, and 9 times out of 10, you have what I want. However, can I make some requests? Many of us like scrapping trips we take with our families, including the toddlers. How about some laser cut titles, made by your creative staff, for Dutch Wonderland, Sesame Place, and Hersey Park? I’ve taken my 4 yr old to all of these and until EK Success came out with their Sesame Street line, I kept putting off scrapping those trips because I felt I needed more stuff.

I just have to say that I love how you are so involved with your customers, Julie. You (and your team) really feel more like friends to me than just someone I like to buy scrapbook stuff from.

I have to share with you that I will be going on a mission trip to Ukraine this July. I am so excited about it, because it’s my very first mission trip and I’ve waited years for an opportunity to go on one. Obviously, right now I won’t be able to order anything because I’m so focused on raising the money for this trip ($3000 – that’s a lot of money to me!!!) But I would absolutely love to get ahold of some accessories to scrap this trip when I get back. If you happen to run across anything Ukraine in the future, I’d appreciate it if you could grab it up for me. ;-)

PS – If you get bored and would like to see the blog I have set up for the trip to Ukraine, it’s at http://mandyluhn.blogspot.com

Thanks a bunch! You guys rock!

Julie, I love getting your emails with the new stuff you guys have found or made! I also think the preorder deal is great – although I don’t have any kids that young anymore so I don’t have a need for the rough & tumble or berry sweet items. But it’s a great idea to get to preorder items.

My sister and I are going to Georgia in Sept 08 and doing the wineries so I have purchased items from your collection for that. We will also be traveling into North Georgia into the Blue Ridge Mtns. I wondered if you could do a travel topper for the Blue Ridge Mtns. and maybe if you could find some embellishments for Falls and staying at Lodges or motels. That way we can document where we are staying too. Just a thought.

But thank you for coming up with all the great things you do and letting us know about them via email. I love shopping with you and recommend you to anyone who I come across who is scrapping anything!!

You are looking for Basic Grey ideas. The new Two Scoops line is sooooooooo yummy! Perhaps and Pheobe are nice too, just a little older. I don’t know if you can only order by the set, or by the individual paper- but all of Basic Grey’s solids are to die for. The mix with anything and are fantastic for both wallpapering and picture backing. I am thrilled you will be carrying it.
Thanks for being so interactive with your customers. It is nice to feel important and heard. Keep up the great work!

I am working on a scrapbook for my DH who shows antique cars; particularly corvettes. I am struggling to find “grown-up” car stuff. As much as I love Mater(from “Cars”) and his crew, it just doesn’t work on a serious book. I’ve used the embelishments from new drivers, etc. but have to cut most from magazines and use archivial spray. I get such great service from ya’ll that I thought I’ve give it a try to request another catagory in your ever expanding list. Thanks, Julie, for bringing us the best!

I love your site, and always find things I didn’t know I needed but can’t live without.

My challenge for you – Passover is a big holiday in my family, and I’ve never found anything good to use in a scrapbook. What can your creative geniuses come up with?!

    Re Basic Grey
I LOVE their new 2 scoops collection and “Scarlet’s Letter.” Of their new stuff, I think Boxer looks good and Sugared.

Thanks so much for asking for input on Basic Grey. I’m excited you’re going to be carrying them. :o )

I love the personal emails and your blog links.

Early January I was trying to scrap college pictures. BUT, nothing was available: Class rooms, dorm rooms, library, text books [science, history economics, computer science, math, physics, economics, English, teaching, etc.], roommates, eating halls, all-nighters, exams, parties, term papers, friends, roommates, ETC. I’m sure there are others who can add plenty of other college ideas.

    Julie,
Great new products!!! Thank you so much for ordering in the Bazzill paper, it is my favorite. I do have a question for you…
Last year I ordered a Bazzill Box. It is a square acrylic box with 4 packages of all the Bazzill paper. It was about $36. But has been so worth the money spent. It has a sample of every paper that Bazzill carries. It makes it really nice, when I need paper to go with certain pictures. I can just pull out my samples and match it up, and know exactly what color to order. Are you going to carry this, as well as update packets that go with the box?
I agree with the others, you run your business as though we are all friends, that makes it more special ordering from your company.
    Keep up the awesome work.
    Terri

WOW! Julie, I’m beginning to think you are a mind reader! I am just beginning my third scrapbook for my 18-month-old granddaughter and have been looking for ideas. Today, I open your email and there it is — the Berry Sweet Collection! What a fantastic new addition to SYT! Since becomming a grandmother, I’ve not been traveling much but you still seem to have just what I need. I just finished placing my pre-order and can’t wait until it arrives. Thanks again for all you do for your customers!

I’m very interested in topics like that, but this one sounds especially truthful, and I really trust the source where it came from. Sooner or later it was going to come out and it finally did!
