Scrap Your Trip Adds 230 Items +K&Co/Kimberly Poloson Pre-Order

“Life is in the details.” This is one of my favorite sayings. So many times we scrapbook the “big events” but our life is really made up of the little day-to-day moments that help us become who we are. At dinner the other night, my son, Logan, told me he had a song to sing for me. I grabbed my new video camera and got the follwing video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BTN_MFmz84. I was so touched and so happy I got this on video. It’s the perfect example of my sweet little 5-year old boy, with his little boy lisp and his unabashed love for his mommy. He’s growing up so fast and I know the days of these heartfelt displays of love, complete with lots of hugs and kisses, are going to be getting fewer and farther between. I’m so excited about the video camera I used to make this video that I have to tell you about it. A friend recommended it to me and I’m passing on the favor. It’s called a Flip and it’s so easy to use it’s almost ridiculous! It only has 3 buttons: Record, Play and Delete. When you’re done, you plug it into a USB port (yes, the whole camera) and the software says “Do you want to save to your computer, e-mail or share online?” I chose share online, signed into YouTube and it uploaded the video. The whole thing, including it automatically installing the software, took less than 15 minutes and I was able to do it all myself. I didn’t even have to ask Nicole (our 20-year old resident tech expert) for help! At the bottom of the e-mail is the link for it from Amazon – it tells all the details. I can’t even tell you how happy I am that I bought it. Even if I never use it again, the video of Logan is priceless and was worth the $130. We have over 200 new products this week in over 20 different catagories. We have lots of travel, including a custom luggage tag that we can customize with your name and address or any other saying you choose, i.e., Vegas or Bust! We have general travel sayings and lots of products for England, Canada, Florida and a new line from Reminisce called “Coastal Passion”. It reminds me of New England summers. We also have a graduation line from Marah Johnson for Creative Imaginations. There were several posts on the blog asking for “Class of…” die cuts. We made them this week, and you can choose the year and your school colors (Go Class of ’85!) We also made cuts for other special requests, including trap shooting, baton twirling and a quail. If you have special requests, let us know on the blog. Also, if you could give us some ideas as to what images, sayings, etc. you want to see, it would be really helpful. I’ve never been trap shooting before and I wouldn’t have known to make a die cut that says “Calling for the Bird” if our customer hadn’t given us the “lingo”.

YAY! I’m so excited you have trapshooting now! That is one of the hardest themes to look for and my dad is a big trapshooter and I am constantly updating his scrapbook that I made for him about his shoots. Thanks again I can’t wait to load up on all the goods for it!

Thank you for soliciting special requests on your blog! I am always looking for antique tractor items, but just about everything you see is “John Deere”. I would be interested in other makes/models, i.e. International Harvester, Allis Chalmers, Farmall…. In addition to the tractors themselves, there are antique tractor shows, pulls, plow matches, etc.

I love your online store, great STUFF!!! I would like to see some more motorcycle items. We have a Yamaha and those items are hard to find. However, we usually travel with people that have a Harley. I’ve been able to find some items at different websites, but would love to see more.
I would also like to see more Cousin items. My cousin and I are like sisters. We both crop together and are always on the look out for cousin stuff.
Thanks again

I am looking for Racing stuff, I believe I have purchased everything you have, so if you find something new that would be great.
Also looking for fire paper. Paper that has flames on it, I have looked EVERY WHERE! I dont like the Harley Davidson paper that has those flames, I need real fire. That would be great!
Thanks for soliciting special request, that is great! Love the site. So easy to navigate.

OMG…the video of Logan is just TOO cute!! I have a 5 year old granddaughter and she is the subject of 99% of my scrapping, it’s such a great age. With summer coming, I’d love to see move swimming pool items, especially for above ground. Keep up the good work!

Love the clay target and quail!
I shoot Sporting Clays and would like to see a laser cut saying that. Additionaly I would love to see items for women hunters. I bow and gun hunt (deer & turkey) and upland bird hunt (quail & pheasant). I have never found any thing for women hunters! I think another laser cut “Girls With Guns Have More Fun” would be good.
How about Quilting? Any items for that hobby?
Thanks and love the site (and the email updates).
You all do a wonderful job.

Love teh LAKE fishing items! Almost all fishing things are fly fishing/trout fishing. For those of us with stacks and stacks of Wisconsin/Minnesota lake-fishing pix to scrap, we love the lake fishing depictions!
A good die-cut would be “Indiana Dunes” – many of us Chicago area gals have lots of good memories of trips to the Indiana Dunes. For those of you who aren’t midwesterners, the dunes along the shore of Lake Michigan are just gorgeous…..dune grass, huge sand dunes and the gorgeous sunsets over the lake…..love it!

I would love it if you could design an embelishement of a stained glass church window. I found a very small one in a store but would love a much larger one. I want to use it in a wedding album. I’m sure people would also use it for baptism and other religious events.

Love your web site and “newsy” emails!
I would love to see some kayaking items–kayak, paddles, vest, etc. I’ve never been able to find anything for kayaking despite it’s popularity these days. Thanks!

Hi Julie, I sent you an email during your travels and appreciate your request to add to this blog items of interest.
My friends and I loved the Mexican cowboy die cuts- will get those on order soon!
We would love to have broncing bulls, bull riders, die cuts to add to the mexican theme as well as rodeo themes.
I like the CI England – Are you getting Canada and Alaska? I would love to have those too!
Greek column die cuts. (I have been using the dream weaver brass stencil and embossing greek columns on white velumn for my Greek pages)
Thanks again! I really appreciate your site and recommend aquaintances who are looking for that special touch to their books but can’t find it our LSS.
For family pages, I would love to have black silhouette die cuts of high chair, first haircut, baby crawling, baby walking.
Thanks again! Keep up the fantastic work!

Julie,
Thanks so much for the info. on the Flip. We are actually going to Europe next week and I am, or course, taking my still camera but wasn’t sure about taking a video camera. With the small size and low price of the Flip, I couldn’t resist – I picked one up on my way home from work.
I heard you speak last year at the CKC in Charlotte. Can I ask why you do not set up a booth in the vendor faire at these events? I love your products but by the time I pay shipping, I am doubling the price of what I want to purchase. I’d love to see you at CKC Valley Forge this year!
Thanks again for the lead on the Flip – Italy here I come!
