Scrap Your Trip Adds 147 Items + Black Market Paper Society Pre-Order

Entry Filed under: New Items Added

I’m leaving…on a jet plane (Be happy you can’t hear me singing!).  I’m getting ready to leave for the airport to go to the Craft & Hobby Association Tradeshow (known as CHA) in Chicago.  I was born in Chicago, so I always really enjoy going to this show.  It’s near O’Hare, which is where my grandmother lived when I was little.  Her house was right under a flight path, and to this day, the sound of airplanes taking off is oddly soothing to me.  I also like going to Chicago because of the FOOD!  Giordano’s pizza,…a hot dog on a poppy seed bun… Portillo’s Italian Beef and chocolate cake…Yes, I know I talk about Portillo’s chocolate cake everytime I go, but if you could taste it, you’d understand! I’ll probably eat there 3 of the 5 days I’m in Chicago. :-)

Going to the tradeshow is really a lot of fun.  I get to see all our wonderful vendors…all the fantastic new products they’ve spent the last five months designing and I walk enough miles on the tradeshow floor to burn off the chocolate cake calories!  What more could a scrappin’ gal ask for?  I’ll have a full report next week.

We have over 140 new items this week, including three beach/summer lines and lots of exclusive SYT designed die cuts.  Wait until you see the customized beach bag die cut!  We were finally able to get our hands on the travel line from Heidi Swapp…it was worth the wait.  We have also added lots of new Disney items from Sandylion.  They’ve been around for a while, but they never go out of style.  The SYT designers, Tiffany & Jill, also designed some really cute basketball and theme park die cuts (Sky Coaster anyone?).  Click here to see them all:  http://www.scrapyourtrip.com/71608.html.

We also have a pre-order from a new company called "Black Market Paper Society".  The papers are really cool!  They are textured and almost feel like linen paper.  Some of the papers are a really different look and some of them remind me of Basic Grey.  I hope you’ll like it!  It should start shipping around August 13.  If you need any of your other items sooner, please place them in a seperate order.  Click here to see:  http://www.scrapyourtrip.com/blackmarket.html.

I hope you’re having a wonderful week :-)

As always, thanks for all your business!

Julie – LOVE the customized beach bag, and will be ordering. I do have a suggestion: how about beach pails that you can customize (like with children’s names). I think they’d look GREAT on beach scrapbook pages.

    You guys do great things!

Julie – I know what you mean about Portillo’s chocolate cake, it is to die for. I moved away from Chicago a few years ago, and everythime we go back to visit family that is one place that we always stop to eat at.

Love the new line this week, but I do have a request. My family does a lot of camping and boating. I’m having a hard time finding things for speed boating. We also do a lot of tubing and knee boarding on the water. If you or anyone else knows somewhere I can go to find this product I would appreciate it.

Thank You and keep up the good work, I just love this site.

Hi Julie, Have fun at CHA!!!!

There is a new company called Delta Cuts that have affordable die cut plates and a machine that would enhance your sales and help us find a retailer! This is a new company.

Delta Cuts is located in booth # 622, I think general crafts. They had sold some of the dies on ebay and I got hooked! The dies are universal and can be used on different machines to cut them out.

They have Hapkido, Football, basketball, hockey plus a lot of other fun items. A lot of new beach related dies too!

    Thanks and enjoy!

Have a great time on your trip to Chicago!

Relay for Life is such a huge event all over the US and for such a terrific cause. This year was the first time that I participated in our local event and what an impact it made on me!!! Our local Relay raised over $265,000! Have you ever seen any Relay for Life scrapbook supplies?? I made a big poster board with our team name along with our “survivor’s” name and all of our indivdual names on it and I only found 1 packet of stickers that had to do with “cancer and survivor”. Please keep an eye out for anything you might find if possible. I bet there might be a lot of scrappers out there looking for this stuff just like me.

    Thanks Julie! You are awesome!

Hey Michelle—I was reading your blog and my family also in into boating, waterskiing, tubing, etc. I have had a hard time finding scraping stuff for the above also. I have found a few items by Jolie’s (stickers), Carol Wilson Fine Arts, Inc. (die cuts called Weekends at the Lake), Creative Imaginations (epoxy stickers), and SYT has some really cute papers that have lake waters for backgrounds.

    Hope this helps! Susan

THis is just a thank you note! I have purchased a few items over the last year and loved them all. –of course scrapping rapper Eric always sends me personal little notes that give me a smile when I open my packages and that is why I am coming back…not just because I love Eric! –But because of the weekly e-mails the great cusomer service and yes because someone takes the time to send a short but personal note on every order! I love you guys! Thanks so much and keep up the good work.
