Scrap Your Trip Adds 64 Items + “Scrapbookers Economic Bailout Plan”

I’m not an "in the moment" kind of gal. At any given moment, I have a running list a mile long in my head. Did I remember to get everything in the kids’ backpacks that morning? What can I make for dinner? How am I ever going to get through all the emails in my Inbox? Either I’m thinking about something I should have remembered or something I should be doing. Always in the past or the future…never in the moment. Except here in Vermont. It sneaks up on me. We’ll be driving along and I’ll be looking with awe at a brilliant orange tree and how the dark brown branches look like something in a magazine photograph. Or I’ll look at my kids, hiking down a path, laughing and running and having the time of their lives. Or we’ll all be sitting by a stream, listening to the sound of the water. And all of a sudden, I’ll realize that I wasn’t thinking about anything. For a few brief moments, I wasn’t thinking about the business or the Dow or if the kids get enough fiber in their diets. I just am. Totally in the moment. And just like that, it’s gone and my brain goes into overdrive again. But for a few minutes, surrounded by so much natural beauty, there was so much peace and contentment. How do you do that in everyday life? Anyone got any ideas? Leave me a comment on the blog.
A little over a year ago, we started making custom die cuts so that we could help you personalize your scrapbook pages. Today, I am thrilled to announce that we have a new way to help you personalize them even further – custom scrapbook paper! It’s edge-to-edge 12 x 12 printed on Bazzill cardstock. We’ve started with four designs, and welcome any suggestions for additional designs.

I live in Vermont (near St. Johnsbury) and am glad you are here this week as it’s one of the nicest fall foliage seasons we’ve had in years. I hope you enjoy your vacation and take lots of pictures!

I also live in Vermont along Malletts Bay north of Burlington. So glad you are able to see our beautiful state at this time of year when the colors are the best. We hope you come back again and send your friends!

Oh how I wish I were there with you–New England in the fall–oooooooooo! Alas, I have southwest in the fall, where the lush green in the desert from our summer rains is fading to tan, but we all await winter, our best season of all, temperatiures in the 70′s and clear sunny days. But as to living in the moment. My moments usually revolve around my mini-doxie. I am thinking a mile a minute and she brings her ball and for a few minutes, watching her leap and run and guage where the ball will land takes me away from all my cares and worries. And then all too soon even a doxie runs out of energy and its back to life’s myriad of choices.

I ride my bike! Makes me feel 10 yrs old again! Last year I was diagnosed with osteo-arthritis & mall walking & bike riding have made my knees pain free. I try to make time every day for myself to “go out & play” on my bike-very freeing!! Try it, you’ll love it

Try a Laughter Club! I am a Certified Laughter Leader through World Laughter Tour. I was trained to lead therapeutic laughter sessions. Therapeutic Laughter sessions are light exercise sessions where laughter is added to familiar movements, followed by repeating them for 20 -30 seconds. Therapeutic Laughter sessions are often called Laughter Yoga or Laughter Club sessions. A typical laughter yoga or laughter club session often consists of 7 -10 laughter exercises, along with some stretching, deep breathing, and other activities. It is a phenomenon spreading throughout the world, with more than 6,000 clubs meeting in more than 60 countries. It is the opportunity to laugh for no reason… without jokes or comedy to stimulate it. You can find a local Laughter club on the following web sites: http://www.worldlaughtertour.com or laughteryoga.org . It is a phenomenon spreading throughout the world, with more than 6,000 clubs meeting in more than 60 countries. Laughter has many benefits. It can relieve stress and strengthen the immune system. It is pretty hard to be worrying about all the “to Do’s” on your internal list when you are busy laughing! This may sound pretty trivial, but there is lots of research evidence to support the benefits of laughter. Give it a try!
Cheers!

Every time you get overwhelmed, you have to think about your “happy place” and imagine yourself there NOW !!! Sounds like you love Vermont and the changing leaves, so bring some home, look at them and remember…
FYI: MY happy place is sitting at the beach bar at Atlantis on Paradise Island looking out at the crystal water and down the length of that gorgeous sandy white beach. That special happy place comes in handy here in New york City on a grey January day !!

When I am feeling overwhelmed by life I think back to a “in the moment” place. Two years ago, I took a whitewater rafting trip down the Colorado River thru the Grand Canyon. It was a mystical, other worldly place. When reality closes in on me… I put myself back there. I envision the whole organic experience….the look, the smell, the sound. Soon I am peaceful and centered again. Vermont also has that effect on me. It is such a sensory explosion. Use it to get thru the rough spots in your day.

I love all the new stuff! I was wondering if you have ever seen any Harry Potter scrapbook stuff? I’ve looked high and low and cant even seem to find stickers. I went to London and took pictures at Platform 9 3/4 and want to scrap it!

Being in the moment of everyday life isn’t hard for me, because I just have to think of my son and the ups and downs he has had to go thru in his 10 years. He lost his brother and I lost my son 4 years ago and from that moment on the everyday life is all I live for. When I am at work I think of him, when I am at home it’s all about him, when I scrapbook it evolves around him. We try to make everyday a special day, because we never know when things might go wrong. It’s a hard lesson to learn, but one worth all the pain. I live each day with my favorite saying “Only the journey is written, not the destination.” We all know where will end up just not how we will get there. Make every day count and count your blessings along the way…. I know I do!

I don’t really have any thoughts on how to be “in the now” because I just found this site and all your fabulous travel stuff and I am thinking of all the possibilities. I love to travel, but don’t, however, my sisters and sister-in-law travel. Soon I will be “traveling” vicariously as I create (or help create) scrapbooks for each of them of their trips to Alaska, Egypt and Paris! And you can believe I will helping the economy as I shop for just the right things for the pages!
Now to find that pumpkin!

You’ve supplied me with papers and embellishments for several years, but this is the first time I’ve seen your blog. I love your comments and the responses you get from your great customers!
My peaceful moment, when all other thoughts left me, was when I held my granddaughter for the first time. She was 2 days old and soooo beautiful. I just looked at her in awe of the beautiful life my daughter created and my heart and mind filled with love.

I have practiced yoga for ten years. It brings me inner peace and forces me to get into the NOW of my life. Remember to breathe; this helps you focus. The movie “The Peaceful Warrior” has some good advice: “What time is it?” “Now.” “Where are you?” “Here.” “What are you?” “This moment.” May your days be filled with inner peace.

Wow ~ You were my new favorite online crafty store and then I opened up your Bailout email. At first I was confused and thought – who and how – I thought I just opened a business flyer and found what appeared to be a letter. So I looked at the email address and realized I was in the right place! Then I went on to read the wonderful, heartfelt thoughts and queries and was pleasantly surprised to realize that the Author was putting Life first before Business or rather incorporating Life and Work. That is so rare! You are already on the right track if you can do that ,-) So now you are really my new favorite online crafty store ;-]
As for living in the moment of Now, that is something I’ve been working on for a few years now. I’m not all there yet, but I’m way better than I used to be ‘-) As a Virgo with tons of ideas, 2 young adult children, 2 teenage boys, 2 toddler grandaughters and never enough time I can strongly relate ;-/ Children are the best thing for keeping us in the now. When ever I’ve thought I was going to crack or go mad, it is them and what a strong me can do for them that keeps me sane. Ironically it is also them that drive me towards insanity ;-\ Living from our hearts and our love for our children and familes is the key. None of the deadlines, appointments or financial disasters can get us off track if we live from our hearts which live in the now.
As you mentioned Nature is a great way to be present. But with our crazy beautiful lives it is often hard to make time. Thats where our heart consciousness comes in. Most of us have several things that make our hearts sing. We just must consciously choose to spend a few precious moments a day, week or month to do those things we love. One of my new things to make time for is creating a vision board using some of the beautiful paper and items I purchased from your site ‘-]
Keep living creatively and you can’t go wrong as the success of your service proves. I’m sure your children are proof of your living from your passion
Blessings and great success to You and Yours ~ Luv MaMa Sherry Jones aka White Raven
