Scrap Your Trip Adds 147 Items

As an employer, one of the most rewarding things about having employees is watching them grow.  Sometimes, it’s literally, like Maddison (our custom die cut employee) who is due to give birth to baby girl Alexis tomorrow.  Or  "Eric the Scrappin’ Rapper", who started as a young man and is now married (his wife, Jessica, is our new smiling voice of customer service).  I’ve watched Tiffany and Jill, our die cut designers, grow their "creative muscle" over the last few years and their die cut designs just keep getting better and better.

I’ve always know I had a bunch of creative employees, but a few more have really surprised me lately.

One day in our morning staff meeting, we were discussing our exclusive SYT paper designs.  Cindy, our Office Manager (and soon-to-be grandmother of new baby Alexis mentioned above), said "Does our paper have to be photographs?"  Could I draw something?"  Apparently, Cindy has been hiding her artistic talent!  And so, we debut "Christmas Magic", a collection of four papers, hand drawn and colored by Cindy.  She is also our resident Disney fanatic.  She also drew Monorail Right and Monorail Left.  I know she is working on a bunch more Disney drawings (she needs no excuse to spend more time at Disney World!).

Nicole, our Web Designer, and the one responsible for getting all the new goodies on the site for you every week, is incredibly talented as well.  We have a whole "owl theme" going on this week, with three of Nicole’s drawings turned into owl paper (Tiffany made an owl die cut too).

Not to be outdone, when my daughter Lauren (who always refers to herself as my youngest employee) found out that people in the office were drawing scrapbook paper, she wanted to draw something too.  "Owl by Lauren S." is her artistic interpretation. :-)   Do you have any of your child’s artwork that you’d like to turn into scrapbook paper?  Anything that you can scan, we can turn into custom paper for you.  Click here for details:  http://www.scrapyourtrip.com/syt-cp-1015.html.

It has been an absolute blast seeing everyone get so excited about creating new products for you.  We’ve had a lot of fun coming up with ideas, so if you’d like to see more, just let us know!

We have over 140 additional brand new products this week.  We have the Christmas Basics collection from Reminisce, the Alpine Frost collection from SEI and the Pet Christmas collection from Adornit.  We have cute new Christmas dimensional stickers from Jolee’s by You and lots of travel (Germany, Italy, China, Japan, Australia, Alaska and more), hockey and wrestling.  We have two custom die cuts this week – one is a custom kitchen die cut and one is a custom Christmas present.  Our custom paper is your very own star on the "Walk of Fame."  My favorite die cut this week is our snow globe.  We used the Transparent Plastic by Bazzill to cut the actual "globe" part, so the snowman looks like he’s really in a globe!  Jill did a great job with that one. :-) .  Click here to see them all:  http://www.scrapyourtrip.com/120308.html

As always, thanks for your business!

I just took a look at the new product you’ve added, and I especially loved the owl papers and embellishments. Lauren’s owl drawing is so great! I wish I didn’t live so far away so I could afford the shipping, ’cause with your products I’d be ordering every week! ( I’ll be ordering soon, though, the Christmas papers are calling my name…haha). Happy Holidays from Nova Scotia, Canada.

As always I love the new items. Um! I also love the old. Anyway, it’s exciting to hear of the ceativity in custom designing the papers. I’ve been doing that for years in my own humble way. Until I found SYT, I just couldn’t find the right paper for my projects. I’ve actually taken a photo of old brick (side of a building) and enlarged and color copied it for my Philadelphia trip. So, actually anything can be utilized. The hand drawn is wonderful. Sadly, I can’t draw a lick! Pat

    Julie,
You guys are FABULOUS!!! I can’t wait to go through my photos and order the custom papers. I have been wanting to do the 12 x 12 papers with my photos for a long time, and couldn’t find a quality way to get them done. You are successful because you truly care about your customers, you keep up with the new items, and you have surrounded yourself with very talented and creative people. I know you appreciate your customers, but your customers equally appreciate you for keeping us supplied with wonderful products. I can’t draw, but I can photograph and this just gives me other creative options. Let Lauren know her owl is wonderful!

    Happy Holidays!
    Terri

You have the GREATEST selection, and one not seen everywhee.

My scrapping buddy turned me on to your site, and I have become a regular scrap my trip troll.

My lastest purchases have sent me over the edge. Love it.

I am like McArthur –”I will return”.

SYT continues to amaze me!! The creativity that you have found within your company is unbelievable!!! Lauren’s owl paper is so cute. She did a wonderful job on it! And the Monorail paper….. OMG!!! Where have you been hiding Cindy? Talk about an artist! Absolutely beautiful!!
I would love to see more Boy Scout stuff on your website. We do so many different fundraisers and events. I just don’t find anything out there other than the usual Scout papers and stickers. We do Scouting for Food (National), Christmas Tree Pick Up (yearly recycle event), Merit Badge Days, Red & Green Dinner (yearly), Camp Wolfeboro (Yearly-Local), Advance Camps and I could come up with more.
I bet your creative genius’ could go to town on the Scout stuff if they wanted to.
If you want an official list of Scout events, let me know!
Thanks for all you do for us “scrappers”. You keep me addicted!

As always I LOVE getting your Wednesday emails. I really enjoy the way they are always so upbeat and positive. I’d like to make a suggestion for your very talented web designer though. :) Today when I was looking at the new stuff I decided to start using the wishlist function. I think it would be great if at the bottom of the page there was a button to click to add all selected to the wish list the way we can to the shopping cart.

I’m thinking I will have to be ordering in January, but I am letting friends and family know about my wishlist so maybe I’ll have to order less.

I wanted you to know how much I enjoy getting your e-mails. Your e-mails are more than just telling me about the specials you have running. Most advertising e-mail I get, I just glance at briefly then delete. But when I get your e-mail; I actually stop and read the entire message. I actually look forward to hearing the lastest. Thank you.

I love reading your blogs – keep them coming I am always inspired to do some more scrapping after Ive read your blog. Great website. One tiny little detail I’d like to point out – as an Australian living in UK I looked at your Aussie travel stickers -and noticed there was 2 tiny errors – Australians say “Good on ya”(rather than you) or more often “good on ya mate!” – this can also run together as Goodonyamaaaate! Strange but true. The word “footie” is spelt “footy”.
    Asin “The Footy Show”
“Lets go kick the footy round the backyard.”
“watch the footy on telly” and
“My favorite footy team is Weagles”
Thought you would like to know. Thank you

If I had the day to just keep working I would use it to finish all my travel scrapkooks. Then spend time with me grandkids and kiss my husband…..
