Scrap Your Trip Operation Gratitude Donation Update

Our office is closed today for the 4th of July holiday weekend, but I’m in here with the painters and the phone guys (The end of our expansion is almost in sight!)
I had planned on getting lots of work done since I’m here by myself, but all I’ve been doing is playing with my new iPhone 
I have wanted one forever and finally got it as a "gift for me from me".
When I was in the AT&T store ordering it, my kids went over to check out the iPhone demos. Within seconds, they had figured out how to play the games. I guess if I have questions, I can ask my 9-year old! I think this is the beginning of a shift in our relationship…don’t know if I’m quite ready for that!
Want to help send a goody box (care package) to a soldier stationed away from home? Scrap Your Trip is donating $1.50 (up from $1.00 last year) of every order placed from 7/1 to 7/4 to Operation Gratitude.
Their "mission is to lift morale, bring a smile to a service member’s face and to express to our Armed Forces the appreciation and support of the American people." Care packages are filled with letters and donated goodies valued at $100, but still cost money to pack and ship.
So far we’ve raised enough to send packages to over 60 soldiers…but we’d like to bring smiles to lots more faces.

This is a great idea for you to donate to our military on active duty…my son is currently deployed to Iraq with his family in Germany and my son-in-law is serving in the Middle East with my daughter and their family.

I think this is wonderful that y’all are supporting this organization. It sounds like a great organization. I don’t need any scrapping supplies right now, and I help with another group that sends care packages regularly. Keep up the good work!

Just wanted to say thanks for recognizing our military. My son is heading back to Iraq in September for his 3rd tour, the day after his daughter is due to be born. He’s 23, a gunner….so this mom appreciates the fact that you are doing this for them.

I think this a great idea. My new husband is in the Army and will be deployed to Afganistan in January for 1 year. We have friends deployed right now to Afganistan and Eygpt. I think it is very important to show our support and let them know that we think of all of them. I believe that is very important to try to send a little bit of home to those who are away and bring a smile to their face.

Don’t you just love your iPhone. My husband got me mine for Mother’s Day/Anniversary at the end of May. I have to give credit to AT&T because when the new 32G came out a few weeks later, I took my 16G in and they exchanged it no questions asked since I was still within my 30 day return period. I highly recommend the Expedition to Everest and Sally’s Spa games
Great if you have a few hours to waste!

I love that you’re doing this. I ‘adopted’ 2 soldiers earlier this year. I send at least one care package a month & as many letters or cards as I can. Also, I’ve ‘friended’ them on Facebook, so we’re in touch that way, too.
