Scrap Your Trip Karen Foster Drawing Ends Tonight

Entry Filed under: New Items Added

Thank you Kathy B from Missouri for making my day!    As an online company, we only have contact with a very small portion of our customers.  A few call of you call…a few of your write…now I know some of your faces from Facebook, but it’s nothing like actually getting to meet in person.   Kathy came to Orlando for the Tupperware Jubilee and stopped by the office to pick up her order.  She had a great time ooohing and aaahing over all our paper and I was thrilled to be able to show off the warehouse.  I  really enjoyed meeting you Kathy!        If you are ever near our warehouse in Orlando, we’d love to meet you too!  Just call us at 407-351-1501 to set up a time to come in to shop and visit.
Last day to get in on our drawing for three of the brand new Karen Foster releases.  All orders placed today over $59 will be entered in the drawing.  The winner will be announced next Wednesday.
As always, thanks for your business!   Julie Swatek, President

I feel for you and was saddened by the news when opening your web page this morning. As a huge fan of yours you really are a gifted writer! you asked for support I am now 63 and married for 20 yrs my marriage ended when my daughter was 7 yrs old so I thought I would tell you now how that affected her as a child as now she is 31 and married with 3 children and another 1 on the way we talk about the seperation sometimes this is what she has told me. She was an only child I DO NOT KNOW WHY YOU BOTH MARRIED IN THE FIRST PLACE (with humor)- -SHE ALWAYS KNEW IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH HER THAT IT WAS NOT HER FAULT (I made that very clear to her every day)SHE KNEW SHE COULD GET HER DAD TO BUY HER ANYTHING SHE WANTED AS FOR ME SHE NEW WHEN I SAID NO IT MEANT NO! SHE NEVER LIKED ME HAVING BOY FRIENDS UNTIL SHE WAS 25 YRS OLD SHE WANTED ME TO HERSELF -SHE IS OVER protective WITH HER CHILDREN SHE IS AFRAID OF ABDOMENT-SHE NEVER BLAMED HER FATHER OR ME BUT SHE DID NOT LIKE IT-SHE THINKS IT WAS FOR THE BEST AND DOES NOT THINK IT AFFECTED HER- though i disagree with her. Her Father and I stayed the best of friends early on even though he was the adulterer I was not going to bring my hurt and pain on her young shoulders I only spoke highly of her Dad and we would kiss hello and goodbye and worked together he had her every weekend until she told me she did not want to go to her Dads any more she was 12yrs ” he was boring” he would come over every Christmas morning and her Birthdays. I am extremely proud of my daughter as we emigrated from the U.K she had no grandparents/aunties/ uncles and being the only child she tells me she was very lonely hence why she is now having 4 children. It took me 5 yrs to get over my marriage break up and over the years have work on myself growth- well being-group workshops- self help guilt and so on this I advice for you. Every few months take your children out just you spend 1 on 1 gently ask ‘how ya going’? AND LISTEN don’t defend or give advice just listen!! They have a voice you will need to learn not to over indulge your children threw guilt YOU have nothing to feel guilty about. Just a word of advice something I learnt during my growing lessons in life GIULT is self inflicted NO SUCH FEELING AS GULIT! awesome! Just an up date I never married again her dad got married after being with a woman for 18 yrs I wish them well but my daughter and her Dad do not speak or see each other now they had a fall out about him getting married. Go easy on yourself. Janet

    Julie,

I was sad to read your most recent news but I think you’ve made a wise decision, given the situation. I’ve been in your shoes and made the same choice. I can honestly say that it was the absolute smartest thing and best decision I could have made. Although, my daughter was only 10 at the time and didn’t really understand (so I was the “bad guy” for a little while), I felt that she was better off with two happy parents living apart from each other than two miserable parents living together. ;)

She grew to understand as the years passed and, I’ve since met the “right one” and have been with him for 17 years. I can tell you that not only love but marriage is definitely better the second time around, so keep your chin up, girl!

Focus on you and your children, and running this wonderful business of yours, just as you’ve been doing, and you’ll grow as beautifully as the sunflowers you admire so much. ;)

    Cheers!
    Mary
