I love Disney World! I am so happy to live so close!The new way I take the kids to school from my house is to cut through the back part of the Magic Kingdom. It brings back such memories for me. I was a Disney intern back in the spring of ’88 – an “MKCP”. It stands for “Magic Kingdom College Program”, but we always referred to it as “Magic Kingdom Closing Personnel”.
Every morning I take them to school, I drive by the “tunnels” – the Magic Kingdom is built over the top of an underground tunnel system – to keep the non-“magic” things hidden. I can remember being 20 years old and passing Michael Jackson in the tunnels. It’s how they got him from ride to ride.
This morning, we had to wait for the train…the Magic Kingdom train, that is, to cross the road from its nighttime home into the park. The kids thought it was the coolest thing ever.

I love the post about the tunnels at Disney. We visit Orlando at least once a year. We live in Illinois but Florida feels like our second home. Disney is fun and magical for everyone!
