Scrap Your Trip 15% off SYT Exclusive Paper Ends Tonight

Hello from Washington DC!  I have not left the hotel and convention center since Wednesday, but I don’t care!  The Inc. 500/5000 conference is absolutely amazing!
In the last two days, I have listened to Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos, Robert Johnson, founder of BET Television Network, Jill Blashack Strahan, founder of Tastefully Simple, David Neeleman, founder of Jet Blue and Jim Collins, author of my favorite business book, “Good to Great”.  I even ended up at the same lunch table yesterday as Nolan Bushnell, founder of Atari and Chuck E. Cheese (I thanked him profusely for ALL the wonderful hours of birthday party fun at Chuck E. Cheese!) :-)

Everyone is still talking about Tony Hsieh.  He was humble, unassuming, comfortable in his own skin and brilliant.  He talked about how the vision of Zappos has changed over the years.  They started out as a company that sells shoes but changed their vision to be a company that provides the best possible customer experience who also just happens to sell shoes (and all the other things they sell now).

Want to know what the Zappos vision is now?  Deliver Happiness in a box.  Isn’t that incredible?

The really interesting thing about listening to all these amazing business speakers is, in the end, what they are really talking about is life.  Live by your core values and principles…deliver the best possible experience…deliver happiness.  Because, at the end of the day, isn’t that all we really want?  To be happy. :-)

I am really happy I came here.  Thank you to all of you who convinced me to come.

Time to get ready for the Black Tie Gala!

    Julie-

So glad you came to Washington, DC. In my opinion you always deliver happiness in a box. You have a great company and a loyal and devoted following. Maybe next year you will have the opportunity to inspire people at this convention, like they have inspired you.

Enjoy the Gala. Make sure to post a picture of yourself, so we can see how hard work pays off!

Thank you for processing orders so quickly! My brother’s fiance was killed by a drunk driver a few weeks ago, and he wanted me to put together a book of her life/their life together. You got my order to me so fast (with the regular/free shipping) that I am now able to finish the book & get it to him in time for her family to see it before they go back home. That means a lot to us- making a difficult time a little less painful. You are awesome!
    Thanks again- Tracy
