Gratitude.  The more time I spend in this place, the happier I am.  I am grateful for so many things this Thanksgiving…my children, my parents, my friends, my customers, my employees, my company, my health, my new condo and my new life…the list of big things to be grateful for goes on and on.  But what about the little things?  (Thanks to the Organized Parent for this idea!)  The following are some of mine:

1.    My iPhone – how did I EVER live without it?!?
2.    Glittery scrapbook paper
3.    The smell of cinnamon
4.    Starbucks Non-Fat Chai Latte
5.    Facebook
6.    Sunflowers
7.    Cool notebooks
8.    Cheese Fries (I am noticing a food theme here!)
9.    Hair color
10.    Sunshine

It was fun to think up this list.  What are some of yours? Let us know on the blog!

Since glittery scrapbook paper is my favorite, I just love this week’s Christmas line from Best Creation.  They have the best glittery paper on the market.  Not only are all their papers gorgeous, but the glitter doesn’t come off.  I may love glittery scrapbook paper, but I don’t like being covered in glitter!   The Christmas line from Best Creations is just one of the new lines we have in the 160 brand-new items we have to share with you this week.  We also have "Moravia" from SEI, "1-2-3 Celebrate Me" from Creative Imaginations, holiday Dazzle cardmaking stickers from Hot Off the Press and lots of new dimensional sticker designs from EK Success.   The SYT designers were also working on the following themes this week:  Africa, Atlantic City, Black Friday Shopping, BMX, Chicago, Christmas, Dance, Day of the Dead, Fall, Fantasy Football, Garage Sale, Greece, Israel, Japan, Lighthouse, Marathon, Music, New York, Scotland, Sports, Texas, Thanksgiving, Theater, Tibet, Travel, Twirl, Washington DC, Winter and Zoo   We have two custom papers – Custom Cartoon Font and Custom Movie Theater Sign and two custom die cuts – a Custom Turkey and Custom Drama Masks.   Click here to see all the new items:  www.scrapyourtrip.com/11252009.html    And in the spirit of Black Friday shopping, we have lots of ways for you to save!
  1. $25 off any order of $99 or more.  Just enter coupon code SAVE25 at checkout.  Coupon is valid through 11:59 pm on November 27, 2009.  One coupon code applied per order.

One thing I am grateful for is the journey that you, Julie, have been on. As much as I’m saddened that you’ve had to go through some of the changes you and your children have, I am glad that you’ve included us in your healing process. Your openess has some days brought me to tears but always with a positive outcome. I have learned some things about myself reading about your experiences and you are such an inspiration to me. Thank you so much. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

    Julie-

I cannot tell you how much it means to me to read your words. Not everyone is happy with me and my decision to share so much of my personal life. I can so clearly remember the day when I said out loud “But I thought I was the only one who felt this way!”. I share to help heal myself and along the way, hopefully someone else will realize that they are not the only one who feels like they do.

Thank you SO much for your support :-)

I am thankful I have a nice job and able to live independently.

I am thankful that my mom taught me to be a neat well-organized person so I can preserve my photo history in beautiful books.

I am thankful to be a healthy and active senior citizen.

I am thankful I can still compete in ballroom dancing.

I am thankful I have lived my childhood dreams of international travel.

I am thankful I have friends and family around me although we do not spend much time together.

I am not happy with modern technology, but I am thankful I am able to keep up with it.

We in Scotland, Uk don’t celebrate thanksgiving but its a lovely concept and if I were to think of things to be thankful for (and this has been a very eventful year for my family too) it would be:
    1. my husband, 33 years and still in love with him.
    2. my children, they are a joy to me and a great support.
    3. my grandchildren, I love them to bits (buts its nice when they go home too!!lol)
    4. my parents, they are a great support even though they drive me nuts at times!
    5. my friends, I don’t have that many friends but I know I can count on the ones I have to be there for me.
    6. my home, I have a lovely home and garden both of which I love and enjoy.
    7. my health and the health of my family. mostly we’re all fairly healthy most of the time!
    8. being able to go holidays, particularly to the US. We love Florida and we’re coming soon!!
    9. my extended family. I know they drive us crazy at times but they are there and would help if necessary at the drop of a hat (well….. some of them would lol)
    10. my photographs and my ability to create lovely albums for people to enjoy.
    11. can I add an 11??? my wee dog, I’m grateful to still have him, he’s almost 17years and has given us great joy for all of them.

Thank you for having such an amazing range of items to make my hobby easy for me, my husband reckons maybe too easy!! I hope you all have a lovely thanksgiving and I wish you continued happiness, it sounds like you’re healing well so keep heading up! As Dorey says, just keep swimming!!

    Hi Julie!
First, let me congratulate you on your huge success with scrapyourtrip.com! I just thought of you when I received an invitation to participate in Passports for Purpose (http://www.passportswithpurpose.com/), and was wondering if you might be interested in partnering with me on this. It would be great exposure for you. The prize criteria is that is has to be at least a $75 value, and money raised goes towards building a school in Cambodia. Let me know what you think (asap).
    Happy Thanksgiving!

My shopping cart keeps emptying between my browsing/shopping session. I save stuff in my cart until I get enough to make it worth my while with regards to shipping. Since it keeps dumping, you’re losing money (not to mention my lost time customing my items) as I am not going to go back over all that same stuff again!!!
