Scrap Your Trip Adds 161 Items – Lots for 2010!

Entry Filed under: New Items Added

Well, I’ve gotten a LOT of great ideas to put in my Dream Book from all of you since Wednesday.  I have also learned a few things.

1.    You can’t ride horseback to the bottom of the Grand Canyon anymore.
2.    A cynical New Yorker told me I don’t want to be in Times Square on New Year’s Eve.  “Better to dream about being in a warm suite in the Marriott Marquis hotel overlooking Times Square wearing a fabulous slinky gown and sipping champagne.”  MUCH better!!!
3.    Maybe the Trans-Siberian Orchestra isn’t all they are cracked up to be.

I also got an e-mail from a girlfriend that has been going around called “The Bucket List”.  I thought it was appropriate to share.  I definitely have to add some of these things to my list!  Although, I can cross off 37 of the 74 listed.  Not too bad!!!

I think everyone should see the Trans Siberian Orchestra at Christmas. They are truly awesome. The first part of the show is a Christmas rock opera and the second is rock music kind of done classical style. We have gone about 5 times now and are never tired of it.

TSO is the best. We have gone 4 times, and plan to go again this year. This is a concert that ROCKS! No intermissions, no stupid front bands, just pure music. An awesome time, not to be missed!!!!

I checked off 50 of the 74! Not to bad for a home-town farm girl!
Happy New Year all. Tell someone you love them TODAY, Tomorrow might be too late!

You definitely need to see TSO at Christmas. They have the most amazing show. All of the performer are so genuine and absolutely love to meet and interact their fans. As if the music wasn’t enough, they also have an incredible light/laser/pyro show too. I take my teenage brother every year and we both have a blast. You definitely need to go and then create some TSO related paper so we can all scrap our experiences.

I have completed 40 items on the list and will be completing a few more this year! I have been to Times Square for New Years Eve and it was one of the most memorable events in my life. I don’t think I would do it again but it was definitely worth doing once in my life!!!

I consider myself very fortunate to have been/done 47 of the 74 items on the list. I would add “Been to Alaska” to that list. That is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen–not only the landscape, but the Alaskan people are so wonderful.

44 out of 74 is not bad for only being 27 years old…….def have riding an elephant and hot air balloon on my list

I don’t know who said Trans Siberian Orchestra is not all that….My family and I go to see them every year and we LOVE them. Catch their show when you get the chance. They will blow you away.

    That is all.

I agree with all the other post – TSO is a definite for anyone who has never seen them. We have been going to their concerts for the last 6 years and I never get tired of it. And this year they announced they were putting together a spring show. Can’t wait!

As I read “The Bucket List” I’ve realized how many things I have dreamed about in the past and done… 36 of 74.

Thanks for your prayers and concern… I’m stepping forward every day, if I’m not doing it for myself at least I’m doing it for someone.

I looked up the book, “The Dream Manager” and seen another book he has written called “Perfectly Yourself: 9 Lessons for Enduring Happiness” I laughed to myself, I have to find happiness and then learn how to endure happiness. Seemed quite comical to me in my state of mind.

Got any more snowmobiling die-cuts happening?
Last year you had 2 terrific styles, that are not the stickers that you now have. Have been looking
to see if they are coming back. Love to see them again or find out where I can get them! Thanks

I have done 53 of the 74 on the list, not bad. Not sure if the “negative” things should be on the list even if I did check most off :-)

I’m not sure where you are getting your information but you can still ride down into the Grand Canyon on mules. All of the information is on the National Park Service website. You do have to book your trip at least 6-8 months in advance to have a chance at this fabulous experience.

Every time I think I haven’t done that much, I surprise myself…I’ve done 45 out of 74 things on the list and I can also add: Backpacked to the the top of Pike’s Peak, Write a book (my master’s thesis). Sailed on the Great Lakes, Was a fashion designer in NYC (no, you don’t want to be in TS in NYE, above it is far preferable). thanks for the fun list!
