Scrap Your Trip Donates 10% of Sales (Ends Tonight) to American Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund
Entry Filed under: New Items Added
We’re off to Anaheim! It’s time for the Craft & Hobby Association Tradeshow! Over 228,000 square feet of fun stuff to look at from over 625 exhibitors!
I know I say the exact same thing every year when we get ready to head out there, but we are all just SO excited about going to see all the latest and greatest things the creative geniuses in our industry have come up with.
XXL to carry catalogs? Check! Comfortable shoes? Check! Pretty notebook to take lots of notes about awesome new products? Check! GPS so that I can drive to Portillo’s for chocolate cake? Check! (I get almost as excited about the chocolate cake as I do the scrapbooking products. Almost! If you’ve ever had it – you know what I mean!)
So, what do you want us to look for? Specific manufactures? Specific collections? Something in particular you’ve been trying to find? Let us know and we’ll keep our eyes peeled for you! Please leave your suggestions and requests as comments below on the blog instead of mailing to Customer Care. That way we will be able to print them out and have them all in one place. Thanks!
Thank you for helping us to support the American Red Cross and the Haiti Relief and Development Fund. We’ve been donating 10% of our sales since Wednesday to the American Red Cross and we will donate 10% of today’s sales as well.
We have set up an item HAITI on Scrap Your Trip. It has a cost of $10. For every $10 you “spend” on this item, we will match the amount and send a double donation to the American Red Cross. Click here to donate: http://www.scrapyourtrip.com/haiti.html
If you would like to donate directly to the American Red Cross instead of through Scrap Your Trip, please text HAITI to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
Again, thank you so much for helping Scrap Your Trip support the American Red Cross. I will sleep better tonight knowing we did a tiny bit of good in the world today.
See you on Facebook! http://www.facebook.com/ScrapYourTrip
As always, thanks for your business.

Please look for more faith-based/Christian/religious products. Sadly I know that fewer manufacturers are making these products, but those of us who incorporate are faith into our scrapbook pages still want those items: papers, embellishments, etc. At the very least, let the companies know that there is still a demand for these types of products. Thank you!

I love shopping your site and reading about all your personal discoveries and achievements – kudos for having a successful business and adding something positive and caring to the world of scrapbooking!! I have bought many travel items here, as it’s how I started shopping with you. It would be great if you could incorporate some Glitz lines – one of my favorites is called Detour and is good for travel pages. Have fun in Cali!

I agree with the earlier posts about wanting more spiritual/religious scrapbooking materials. I’ve never scrapped my missions trip to Honduras and I’ve only partially scrapped my honeymoon trip to Israel mainly due to lack of options. Also, products for American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life race.
Thanks. Have Fun!

Would love stuff for dog shows/cat shows (best in show/1st place/etc.) and also stuff for local town parades, floats, etc. I jusst attended the World Cup Ski Jump in Garmish, Germany and would love stuff for something like that. The winter sporting competitions. Please add more idea books to your inventory too, every thing published with ideas, always gets me motivated. Thanks for considering my wish list. Have a great trip and looking forward to hearing all about it when you get back. God bless you for your help with the people in Haiti too!

I am looking for 3-ring 12 x 12 albums. I find them much easier to work with than post albums. I always have tons of pictures and it is much easier to move pages around using 3-ring albums than the post albums. It is very rare to find a 3-ring album, so any styles in 12×12 size would be appreciated.
34. Lynn | January 22nd, 2010 at 10:29 am
I would LOVE to find something that cuts 1/4 inch mats for 3 1/2 x 5, 4 x 6 and 5 x 7 photos. The magic matter is not that easy and I can never cut them straight using a cutter. I have asked Sizzix and Quickutz to please make a die that will cut various thickness mats for traditional size photos but haven’t seen anything yet. Every scrapper I know mats their photos so I can’t understand why something easy hasn’t been made yet. If you happen to see such a cutter please let me know–Thanks!

Would love to see more religious items. We are going to the Holy Land in April. Keep us in your prayers! Also would like someone to figure out how to make stickers or die cuts about oyster roasts. How about more horse stickers. Our children showed American Saddle Horses when they were growing up and I plan on going back and scrapping those days. Never have seen an appropriate sticker.
Have fun! Enjoy the cake!

45. Christie | January 22nd, 2010 at 11:30 am
I am sure this question has been asked and answered but I wish there was a way to save items in the shopping cart. Many times, when I need to order something, but want to wait until I accumulate more to make the sale worth it, I have to go back and reselect the items. It would be great to have them in queue, but I guess this is not available or not possible to do???
46. Maxine Portner | January 22nd, 2010 at 11:33 am
I travel to National Parks and would like to see items from Glacier, White Sands, Big Bend, and some of the lesser known/visited parks. Also items from the National Historic Trails – Lewis and Clark, Oregon, Appalachian.
I aggree with comment #32 on 12×12 3-ring binders (preferably D-ring) as well as 8×8 3-ring binders.
47. Wendy Cranmer | January 22nd, 2010 at 11:53 am
I would love to see products by “7 Gypsies”! Their style is kind of antique-y and classy. They make some really fun things! I don’t need anything specific right now but that would be a fun line to look into.
Also, I think the fund raising that you’re doing for Haiti is great! One of my resolutions this year is to give back more and donate to good causes whether it’s with money, food, time, blood… Whatever. So thank you for making my donation go further by matching it! I was wondering if you would send out an email when it’s over letting us know how much was raised and going to the Red Cross?
Have a great trip! Take an umbrella, you might get rained on!
48. Pamela | January 22nd, 2010 at 12:02 pm
Would like to see Origins papers by Basic Grey.
Also last year I requested Prima papers with stitching on them. Would really like to order those if you can get them. Have only seen them in magazines. They look gorgeous. And any new papers for the 50 states would be great, too. Good luck and have the best time ever!

I would love to see things in other languages, specifically Spanish, but I’m sure other languages are marketable. For example, I visit the Dominican Republic often and would love to see some word art of rub ons about travel in Espanol
Have fun.
51. Dawn | January 22nd, 2010 at 12:20 pm
Agree about the 12×12 3-ring binders. Baby items.
I love Portillos, too. We moved to Tucson from Chicago last year and they do not have them there. I love their garbage salads. Visited Chicago a few months ago and went to Portillos for our 1st meal. They did not have my garbage salad! I guess only certain ones still carry them now : (
52. Donna Peterson | January 22nd, 2010 at 12:28 pm

53. Debbie | January 22nd, 2010 at 12:28 pm
Monster trucks – especially the famous Grave Digger of Monster Jam fame. A really cute, baby-style Cupid!!! Most cupids are too grown up or victorian looking – need something “cute” for baby Cupid photos. Do any boy dance items exist??? Everything is pink and frilly! Need something for a little boy (3 yrs) that taps! Firefighter related birthday party for a 4 year old.
I’m just now realizing what a strange list that is! lol! Huge fan of Portillos – I’m in Chicago!!!! Enjoy the cake..and the show too! : D
54. Debora M | January 22nd, 2010 at 12:33 pm
would love to find strap hinge albums, pages, and protectors. in our area, can rarely find Westrim brand. only thing available around here is Hobby Lobby’s brand. thanks!
55. Karen Bushy | January 22nd, 2010 at 12:48 pm
For the product used to make perfect mats – 8 different widths, any length, there is a set of “rulers” called Perfect Layers. They are just marvelous! I have two sets on my work table, and have given countless sets as gifts to fellow scrappers. When someone asks “What is the most important tool on your table?” I choose that one, hands down. If the SYT team can find that and sell it, you will all love it. I got mine originally on QVC, but they no longer sell scrapping supplies.
56. Ruth Ann Powell | January 22nd, 2010 at 1:21 pm

68. April Joy | January 22nd, 2010 at 8:39 pm
Holy Land Pilgrimmage – plenty of Israel secular logos, but they don’t really work for all the religious sites visited.
69. liza Vance | January 22nd, 2010 at 9:00 pm
I took a Disney chipboard album class from Boxer Scrapbook Productions and they used red paper (the teacher didn’t recall the manufacturer) that was an incredible vibrant deep red – screaming red! It was a smooth finish 12 x 12″. Also please get as much new Disney stuff as you can – Queen has some cool new stuff I saw on the DISboard scrapbook section – paper & felt borders. Also Alaska paper & embellishments.
70. Sandra Garrett | January 22nd, 2010 at 9:50 pm
I just saw where EK Success is coming out with a new Tin Vertical Rectangle Box. It is white with a black handle on the top and opens like a luch box but the top is flat probably about 5×7 or 6×8. i have used them by other manufacturers but they are getting hard to fine. I saw a preorder for these on another website so maybe you can find them at the show. I hope so, I’d rather buy them from you. I make recipe boxes out of them. Thanks and have a wonderful time.
71. Kerri | January 22nd, 2010 at 9:52 pm

80. Virginia Valentin | January 23rd, 2010 at 2:35 pm
How about some items on adults in college? This is my first experience with college, all I find are back to school for kids. Also, starting over themes, as in divorce. This type of scrapbooking doesn’t always have to have a sad note, if you know what I mean. Thanks for “having our backs”. You are invaluable to us scrapbookers! Have fun!
81. Kari | January 23rd, 2010 at 2:40 pm
For all those looking for 12 x 12 3 ring books, check out Pioneer albums they make a bunch of different colors and sizes.
I’d like to see more for 1st communion; girls playing dress up; girls scpap retreat items; Stickles glitter glue; fancy glitter paper of any kind (LOVE the glitter!); more papaers in 12 x 12 that have the edges or corners decorated but the middle blank so you don’t coer the pretty designs with pictures.

83. Kay | January 23rd, 2010 at 4:35 pm
I’ve been loking for old fashioned scrapbooks – the kind with the creamy paper, not as thick as cardstock. Canson used to make a great large book but it’s doscontinued.
I’m also interested in the 12×12 3 ring binders!
Thanks and have a great time
84. Elsie | January 23rd, 2010 at 6:40 pm
I have been Reading the wish list for things for you to find at the Convention Remember Faith/ Religious items Please, for those Looking for the 3 ring or D ring Albums (for me) I think the shape of the D ring holds pages better, no ends sticking out of the edge of the Album. on line try Addicted To Scrapbooking They have a lot of these kinds of albums. I think Pioneer is still on their List. My albums are from American Craft and some of the albums have fabric just along the binding of the album so that you can Design the blank space the way YOU would like it to be! Any Stampers out there give the sister site a try Addicted to Rubber Stamps. both sites show a number of the same items but each site has it own special Items. Have a safe Trip Ladys
85. Elsie | January 23rd, 2010 at 8:14 pm
Hello, with it being a on and off rain day around my house, I have spent time reading some of the Scrap Your Trip Blogs. and one stood out. a person said They placed one order with Scrap Your Trip and now you will not leave me alone!. What every one “Needs To Remember” is you are not just dealing with Scrap Your Trip when you order on Line with them. they are also a part of the Yahoo shopping group . and Yahoo makes it their business to know what you are Buying so they can then send you a lot of emails (that you did not ask for) from other companys that also are a part of the yahoo shopping group, who may sell products like Scrap Your Trip has. This is the reason when I place a order with Scrap Your Trip (and others ) I will send Money orders . In my way of thinking it is None of Yahoo’s business what I buy from Scrap Your Trip, or any other web site I shop from.
86. Jane | January 23rd, 2010 at 9:08 pm

88. Lynette | January 24th, 2010 at 11:26 am
Look for Dew Drops by Robin’s Nest. I have used these and they added just the right finishing touch to a page. There are so many ways you can use them. I have some but would like to get more.

Julie, can you please look for “Girls Weekend” , “Scrap Retreat/Weekend” , “Scrappin’ with the Girls”…. since a group of us go 3 a year and I would like to make a scrapbook of this. Anything to do with the WII as we have Wii partys. Also the 12×12 3 ring binders I love these and they are very nice to work with. I order from your website when I am not able to find what I am looking for in our small town.Keep up the great work.

Please try to find paper, embellishments, anything on wheelchairs. My step-son is in a wheelchair and he is graduating from High School this year and I am doing a scrapbook on his life and would love to include this.
Also if you can find anything more on Deputy Sherrif’s like more paper, squad cars etc. Thanks.

Julie, I have been looking at a CHA display for Two Chicks Design that I would love if you would check out. They have a new line Chick’n Stuff debuting in Anaheim. It is showing in the O’Brien Systems booth. They have a line of flowers, buttons and ribbons. They are done by individual items and individual colors in what looks like really cute containers. There are 8 colors so fir a person to get them all they would have to buy 24 items. But they look like something I would enjoy buying a color group at a time. Because the quantity of each appears large it would be a great basic collection to get and have a permanent basic set of embellishments. I don’t do buttons (yet) but I really like flowers and ribbons. I could get them online somewhere later I am sure, but I trust your judgement on quality and prefer your feedback – even if you don’t get them.

I would appreciate 3 Day Breast Cancer items. I don’t know if this is allowed, but if it is, that would be great!!
Thanks and have a great time!

Julie, I want to add my vote for the 12×12 3 ring binders. I have used some Pioneer and I have found some beautiful leather ones, a little better quality, at local scrapbook stores, BUT they are all solid color. I would love a print! Not a particular theme, generic, floral something different please. Maybe you can find a source and have us pre-order them since they would take a lot of storage area and I really really know you do not want to have to re-organize the warehouse again yet

We are into horseracing and can only find horse shows type embellishments. Anything you can find would be great

Toga-scrapbooking has stencils that are really neat. I think they are from France. Something like the Puzzle Mates but more advance I think. Very neat designs. I can not find a place in US that carries them so if you see them check the items out. If you go to their site… its under Scrapbooking – stencils. Really neat but they only sell to business owners. I really want bad
Have fun on trip. I’m looking forward to seeing the new items.

I would love to see more Florida birds – especially the Roseate Spoonbill (they had a leading role in Disney’s Princess & the Frog) and the Green Heron – also maybe the Woodstork and others. I would also love some waterfalls (I have Yellowstone and Yosemite to scrap). Thanks for all your creativity.

Moxxie! They have a fabulous release. I am so loving the Faith line, as well as the Equestrian, and their Easter line looks so beautiful!
Please carry these too (I see that you already carry Moxxie products!)
I love that I can come to scrapyourtrip and have a one stop shopping experience, I hate using my limited funds paying for shipping from various sources!
