Scrap Your Trip Adds 206 Items + 206 S*A*L*E Items + EK S*A*L*E

Entry Filed under: New Items Added

Last year at this time, I wrote what I think is one of the best e-mails I have ever sent out.  Not because of what I wrote, but because of what all of you wrote back.  I wrote the following:

“I can’t even say the words "Groundhog Day" without thinking of the movie from 1993 with Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell, where Bill Murray plays the grouchy weatherman who is forced to live the same day over and over again until he gets it right.  But what if you had a day in your life that you GET TO live over and over again?  What would that day look like? “

There were over 200 comments posted on the blog in response.  Your “perfect day” stories touched me…changed me…and a lot of other people that read them.

So, I thought it was time to update for 2010.  Parts of my day stayed the same…parts changed.
  • My perfect day is one I get to spend with my kids.
  • One that I am TOTALLY present – in the moment – enjoying everything as it happens and not thinking about anything except what is happening right now.
  • It starts with a nice hot cup of my favorite chai tea.
  • I get to spend some time curled up reading a good book.
  • We go to Disney World and ride roller coasters.  I am completely present when I am on a roller coaster.  Plus, I like the rush!
  • The kids and I spend some time looking over scrapbooks and old pictures and I tell them all their favorite stories about when they were really little.
  • I go get a pedicure with Lani and we get to spend an hour or so of “girl time”.
  • I have a great conversation with my Mom and Dad on the phone
  • I prepare a delicious meal for dinner.  Cooking is a way I show people I care about them.  The kitchen fairies come and clean up. :-)
  • I spent an extra long time snuggling with the kids before they go to bed.
  • I take a nice, long, hot bath.  Long enough that the water gets cool, so I add more hot water and stay in some more!
  • And then, since it’s my dream of a perfect day, I would fall asleep in the arms of my baby (Hey, just because I go to sleep by myself doesn’t mean I can’t dream of falling asleep in someone’s arms!) :-)

Aahhhh.  What a wonderful day that would be!  What does yours look like?  Please let us know on the blog.  Everyone who comments will be entered in a drawing for a $25 SYT Gift Certificate.  We will be choosing 3 winners for every 25 comments (one comment per person, please).

My perfect day starts off with my kids sleeping through the night. Then I’m rested so I can be fully present.
We’d eat breakfast as a family
    then COMPLETE a project.
Go for a walk in the neighborhood and play with the kids outside
Come in for naptime and ALL of us sleep
    Make dinner together (& dessert!)
Let the kids enjoy movie night while snuggling with them & my hubby.
Put them to bed giving them lots of extra hugs.
    Quality time with my husband
Go to sleep earlier than usual checking on the kids one last time. Watching them sleep is one of my favorite things…

My perfect day would be a spring Saturday with my precious grand-daughter Becca. She would have spent the night with me on Friday night. We would wake up and cuddle and talk in my recliner about Jesus – her favorite subject! Then we’d have some yummy breakfast and I would grab the camera and capture some precious memories of her jelly stained smile! We would then go outside and take some pictures of butterflies, flowers and puffy clouds. When it begins to get warm we go back inside and open all the windows to let the breeze in and we would drag out all my pictures and scrapbooking treasures and spend the day scrapping and talking about the pictures we are working with – like her baby pictures and how I instantly fell in love with her the minute I laid eyes on her – and pictures of her mommy when she was born as well. Then it would be time to fix supper together for Pepaw when he gets home from work. After a long bubble bath, we would paint each other’s fingernails and toenails. Snuggling up again we’d watch ‘Cinderella’ – again!! Ahhhhhhhhhh………

  • 3. Amber&hellip  |  February 10th, 2010 at 9:42 am

My perfect day would start out waking up at HOME – not in my apartment at college – with my Boyfriend, Mom and Dad, and bunny Larry.
I’d have a nice hot shower and make my family breakfast, because breakfast is so fun to cook, but we so rarely have time to.
Then we’d have some family time (including Larry! He’s a stitch!) and go shopping, cause shopping is such wonderful catharsis!
After coming home with a bag full of books (and probably some fun things for my scrapbook, too!) my boyfriend and I would make cookies (and a mess!) and mom and dad could start on dinner. Dad will probably grill something, and mom is in charge of the rest (she’s such a great cook!) – cause I’ve taken care of dessert, right?
Then we’ll probably all fall asleep watching a movie – it doesn’t matter which, as long as we’re watching it together.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from being away at school, it’s that that is the whole point of the perfect day, it doesn’t matter what you do, as long as you get to be with the people you love the most. <3

    My perfect day would include:
*getting to spend one more day with my parents once again…I miss them so much and having them meet their great granddaughters
*spending the day with my granddaughters whom I only get to physically see once or twice a year if I’m lucky (they live in Alaska)
*having a fun family day, a bbq & a ‘deck night’ laughing & talking under the stars
*spending a day with my friends at their home in the Keys…..soaking up sun on the beach, a picnic & then watching the sunset over on the Gulf side
*spending the day with my husband finishing a project to improve a room in the house
*playing & having fun with my family & pets, then taking a nap with my kitten curled up with me purring

  • 5. Celesa&hellip  |  February 10th, 2010 at 9:44 am

Perfect day? Well, have lots of them as I just recently quit my job to stay home with my boys. But a perfect day would be a weekend, when my dear honey is home with me and the boys. They sleep in a litttle so we can read the paper and enjoy a cup of coffee. It’s nice and sunny so we can play out in the backyard or in the park all together. Nice long refreshing naps, for all of us, playing out in the back while we grill dinner, have a nice glass of wine, and snuggle on the couch before all going to bed. Oh, and no whining, fighting, arguing all day – HA!!!!

  • 6. Joy Mendez&hellip  |  February 10th, 2010 at 9:47 am

My perfect day? While part of me wants to say relaxing with my husband at some exotic location, having a great dinner and walking along a beach with him. But the other part of me wants to include our son and take him to some place that’s important to me, like Yellowstone (I used to live nearby and spent many days in the park) or Thomas Jefferson’s home where I used to work.

  • 7. Cathy&hellip  |  February 10th, 2010 at 10:00 am

A perfect day lately has been hard to come by in Washington, DC. We are snowed in and I have come to the realization that it is not that bad.

I have finally learned how to cook eggs the way my future husband likes them!
I learned that you can walk the dog in snow over your knees and really the dog is having a harder time than you are.
Snow shoveling goes faster when the whole neighborhood is out.
I have thanked God for the neighbors who have constantly checked in on my mother to make sure she is OK.
I have addressed the Save the Date cards for my Wedding.
I have rediscovered the pleasures of handwritting notes and calling family and friends

All of these learning expieriences are small things that have made perfect days for me.

  • 8. Darlene Chavers&hellip  |  February 10th, 2010 at 10:05 am

My day would begin with spending some alone time with my Husband. Then he cooks breakfast and we just spend time together. Later in the day our 3 sons and their girlfriends come over and we cook out. After they leave and we are alone again I would love to just sit in front of the fireplace and cuddle.

  • 9. Kristy&hellip  |  February 10th, 2010 at 10:14 am

My perfect day would take me back 24 years to when my children were young at ages 3 and 5. I so miss that age of pure innocence. Upon waking up, my children would jump in my bed and we would snuggle as we planned our special day. After breakfast we would play all morning with their favorite toys, my daughter with her American Girl and Barbie dolls, and my son with his Thundercats and legos. After a lunch of comfort food, we would play outside in the snow sledding down our backyard hill. I would take many action shots of them for a Winter layout that I would scrap in the future. With rosy cheeks, we’d head inside for a cup of hot chocolate and lots of books to read. They would help fix a delicious supper. Bathtime would be early, and we would cuddle together and watch a favorite Disney movie before bedtime. Where has the time gone? I can’t believe my babies are now 29 and 27 years old…..

my perfect day would be spending the day with my parents and my sisters and their families and mine. All of this happening with my mom not having Alzheimers so that she ould remember everything not be frustrated and my dad not frustrated either We would spend the day on the beach and go back to my parents place for food and laughs or anything really as long as My Mom was herself again I miss the parts of her and dad that are gone already

  • 11. Linda McAuliff&hellip  |  February 10th, 2010 at 10:19 am

    My perfect day!
I would be spending the day at the lake with my family…children, grandchildren and my mom. My brother and dad would be there. (they have both passed on and I miss them so much). We would go boating, tubing and skiing. We would bbq dinner, play board games, and take lots of pictures for me to scrapbook. We would just enjoy the beautiful summer day and being with each other. And who knows I might even have a special guy with us!

  • 12. Linda Hutson&hellip  |  February 10th, 2010 at 10:22 am

My perfect day is any day that I am able to spend with my entire family – husband, sons, daughters-in-law and my precious grandson. It doesn’t matter what we do or if we even leave the house, just having them all together in one place is enough for me. Watching them all interact as adults and best friends is the definition of happiness for me. Then at the end of the day, the young parents go home and leave us with our sweet little boy for some quality grandparent time. It doesn’t get any better than that!

  • 13. Debby C.&hellip  |  February 10th, 2010 at 10:39 am

I re-read what I wrote last year, and was kind of surprised…this year it will be different. My perfect day would involve spending the early day with my Mom and both in-laws (who have all passed) and my Dad, then spend the rest of the day with my wonderful husband, looking into each others eyes and snuggling, no matter where we were.

  • 14. Rebecca Flores&hellip  |  February 10th, 2010 at 10:39 am

If I could have 1 perfect day, I would give it my husband. It would be a day without medications, doctor/hospital visits and most of all a day without dialysis. My husband has renal failure and is constantly ill. But we both know that one day the Lord will bless him with a kidney.
And when that day happens, oh what a blessed/perfect day it will be. :)

Would you consider making a die-cut noting the 2010 blizzard? Here in Maryland, we are having our third major snowstorm, two of which have been blizzards and are about to break a record for snow. Right now, I think we are up to 60 inches of snow. Maybe a die cut of “how much? with a ruler would be cool too.

    Thanks for considering the ideas!

    Perfect Day
    -sleep in

-wake up girls, make big breakfast together
-go to the beach together, where, because it’s my perfect day, we will get a parking spot without worry and the cold new england water will be warm!
-all our friends and family join us for beach party!
-at dusk, we all go back to our house for a big bbq and party together

day to have back…a day when my girls were about 2 or 3 except this time i wouldn’t be in grad school and i could spend the day playing with them without guilt!

Perfect Day: One where I finally make a scrapbook that integrates my fine art skills and a fine art piece that uses scrapbooking materials. I love goals.

  • 18. Kelly Mitchell&hellip  |  February 10th, 2010 at 10:59 am

My perfect day would be spent telling my Sweetheart that I will love him until forever and that I was blessed that God sent him my way and gave him to me. I met him at 14 at church, married him at 19 and had 7 sons with him. Each one seemed to come along after a long deployment with the Marine Corps. This past October 28th a 15 year old thug robbed him while he was working and then shot him in the head. At 44 years old my husband of almost 25 years marched into Eternal Glory. Now it is my mission to scrapbook his beautiful life for my boys. I will consider everyday I work on those books an honor and labor of love.

  • 19. Pat Vanderveer&hellip  |  February 10th, 2010 at 11:24 am

My perfect day….well I almost hate to say that I have one every now and then, by plan or by accident. It would require that my whole family be together…weekends, vacation. I would fix a nice breakfast of French Toast casserole and/or baked oatmeal. Then we could walk along a sunny, breezy beach. My girls like to play in the waves; my husband likes to lay on the beach in the sun and I like to watch or read. In the afternoon we meander back to our room/house and clean up for a nice dinner out….seafood, steak place with a view. After dinner we could go to a show….movie or play….or shop or just sit and listen to the ocean (if we are near one). And I always end my day cuddled up with a good book until I can no longer stay awake.

My perfect day would be one where I didn’t have to “count my spoons”….and, if you’ve never heard of The Spoon Theory, read about it at my URL:

  • 22. Connie Chesnik&hellip  |  February 10th, 2010 at 1:24 pm

My perfect day would be warm and sunny. It would start with a good workout (cuz there’s shopping later on and I have to fit in the clothes:). I’d have tea and scones with my husband. Then I’d head to Milwaukee for a day of shopping with my daughters, lunch at our favorite restaurant and maybe a movie. In the evening, friends over for cards, laughter and fun.

  • 23. Diana&hellip  |  February 10th, 2010 at 1:31 pm

My perfect day to live over and get right would be when I was 27 and let my sole mate drive away. This time I would of went with him instead of letting him leave without me. I had known him since we were 18…. it took 30 years but we finally have it right!

  • 24. Kim Gust&hellip  |  February 10th, 2010 at 1:39 pm

My perfect day would be in the spring. I would wake up to the sounds of birds chirping and my son and husband would sleep in so I could have some alone time to read and scrapbook. Then we’d enjoy a wonderful breakfast and spend the entire day together, just the three of us. We’d spend time outside, playing in the yard or going for a walk in our neighborhood. I’d take lots of pictures, of course! We’d grill in our backyard for supper and then put the boy to bed. My husband and I would relax and talk about our day and our hopes and dreams for the future. Finally, I’d spend some time scrapbooking before going to bed. I can’t wait until this snow melts and I can make at least parts of this perfect day come true!

  • 25. Kathy L.&hellip  |  February 10th, 2010 at 2:17 pm

My perfect day would begin by my waking up pain free for a change…no fibro pain, no back pain, no headache..just no pain.
I would lay in my bed and pray to the Lord-giving great thanks first of all for feeling so great! I would then pray for family and friends.
Now it is time for a cup of coffee, that I would take out on my patio for a change-one of the reason I wanted that patio built and I have yet to do this.
Time for my Wii work out.
    Now a nice HOT shower.
Next, some scrap time with my friends. Maybe we could all accomplish a few lay outs and just totally enjoy each other’s company-encouraging each other in all areas of our lives.
After scrapping a few hours we stop and enjoy lunch together…out of course, it is our day off after all.
Now it is time for a two hour nap. I think I will read a few pages of a book first. (SO hard to find time for that hobby I love so much!)
After my nap I decide that to connect with my children-who have ALL moved out (2 still at home, one out and married with a baby) We agree to all meet for dinner where we all get along and enjoy each other’s company.
Once done with dinner we decide to buy a pie and take it “home” to share so we can chit chat some more and baby Emma can get around on the floor-doing her own thing and continuing to bring MASSIVE joy to all of us.
At the end of this day I will be thankful for feeling so good all day that I could enjoy each of my activities with no pain and no drugs.
On this night of my special day my husband will actually come to bed at the same time as me…

  • 26. CHARLENE DUNN&hellip  |  February 10th, 2010 at 2:28 pm

My perfect day was June 15,2008. I saw my baby get married, we danced, cried and laughed. And then six weeks later God called him home to be with him. I would love to have that day replayed and have one more dance.

  • 27. Donna Harris&hellip  |  February 10th, 2010 at 2:56 pm

My perfect day would be an ever-so-slightly warm, non-humid GORGEOUSly colorful day in autumn with a beautiful blue sky with fluffy clouds and a sllight breeze so all the windows in the house could be open. There woud be no worries, no thoughts or concerns about money or health and the house would be clean from top to bottom. Beautiful music would be on the stereo while I read an exciting novel or settle into some scrapbooking. When my husband gets home from work, we would cuddle on the sofa for a while before I fix a wonderfully tasty meal. (My husband would take care of the clean up because I cooked!) The evening would be more cuddles while we watch a movie – a musical, like Brigadoon! – and end with prayer and a sweet kiss goodnight!

  • 28. Sarah&hellip  |  February 10th, 2010 at 3:57 pm

    My perfect day would include:
    - spending time with my family which I love dearly
    - being able to spend the day with my husband just relaxing and enjoying each others company
    - scrapbooking which has become my new found hobby
    - hanging out with friends, sitting around laughing, not having a care in the world

The day when all things were possible: I’ve already had my perfect day, but it was so great that I think about it again and again…which is kind of like reliving it. My 3 sons all graduated in the same month (2 from college and one from high school). The Perfect Day was the warm and sunny orientation to the college dance program of my youngest son’s dreams. While we were sitting on a grassy hillside listening to the dance program overview, I received two text messages…one from my oldest son, saying he had aced his med school interview; the other from my middle son, saying he had been hired as an engineer. It was like all the prep they’d done as students and all the work we’d done as parents all converged into that moment on that grassy hillside, and I could not have been more proud.

My perfect day. . . . the phone ringing waking me from a sound sleep and the person on the other end gives me the news that a cure for Scleroderma has become a reality. The cure has the ability to reverse all the damage this disease causes. For me, having a 15 year old grandaughter with Scleroderma and finding a cure to rid her of this disease would be the best most perfect day I could ever imagine.

  • 35. Cheryl Lopez&hellip  |  February 10th, 2010 at 7:34 pm

Just thinking about my perfect day has already brought tears to my eyes. I lost my mother almost nine years ago, and there isn’t one day that I don’t think of her. My perfect day wouldn’t even have to be a whole day; I’d like just an hour to tell her how much I miss and love her, how extraordinarily greatful I am for the loving upbringing I had and for all she provided-love, security, a love of reading and music. She was a single parent before the term became popular. She sacrificed everything of herself to be sure my sister and I were cared for. She always has been, and always will be, my hero. I’d like the chance to tell her that. Even more, I’d like to hear her voice one more time. She left giant footprints on my heart, and I know that I am the mom and Grammie that I am today because of her.

-the weaher at the “World” is perfect, warm in the day and cool at night without humidity

Wow, I am humbled by all the soulful, heartfelt comments so far. I could selfishly say I’d like to pamper my self with a spa day or scrap all day in a craft room overlooking the ocean and being able to hear the waves crashing as I crafted away the hours. Or I’d love to spend a day in Paris creating new memories for a scrapbook. I’d love to hold my grown son as an infant for just a few minutes to remember how soft he felt and how wonderful he smelled. But my heart aches for Charlene. At least I still have my son even though he lives in another state. And everyone who has lost a parent or two – I still have both my parents. I am very blessed with a loving, respectful husband, a successful, healthy son and a wonderful family with all the drama that comes with them. I have a job, a beautiful home and wonderful neighbors. I guess I have perfect days more often than I realize.

My perfect day would be to wake up late in a tropical hotel suite in Bali with my husband/kids and grandkids with me. We`d play in the ocean/on the beach and in the pools all day. Then we`d enjoy wonderful Thai food with Southeast Asian hospitality. I`d take a TON of pictures to scrapbook later to remind me that the only thing that really matters in life are the relationships we have with our family and friends. Grandkids are the reward for raising kids! Keep the Asian scrapbook supplies coming! I love them all! :)

    My perfect day
Would be to get up late having spent the morning lying in my husbands arms, a late breakfast having time to chat about how we are going to spend our day, maybe telephone the children and and talk to the grand kids, go for a long walk together and then home to a nice dinner for two, more talking, reminiscing with our scrapbooks and cuddling of course. What we talk about? Life the universe and everything but mostly about our family and our life and how blessed we have been.
This prpbably soun ds very romantic etc. But we have spent most of our 40 year marriagelike passing ships. My husband is ex royal navy. Then his job would start at 6am in the morning and still does!! My job as a dance teacher starts at 11am and doesn’t finish until 9pm and still does!! Weekends are often full of shows, extra classes or catching up on all the stuff you don’t get time to do in the week. However for all of this we are blessed, we have each other. Every minute we get to be together is another is like a lotto win. WE have 2 wonderful children who have survived the loving chaos of their upbringing and two lovely grandchildren with whom we have strong bonds even though we live 12,000 miles apart.
    Life is pretty good.

My perfect day would be a Sunday, the most peaceful and relaxing day of the week for my family. We would all start the day attending Church together, followed by a delicious Sunday Brunch at our favorite restaurant.
The afternoon would be spent together at Disneyland, enjoying many magical moments and make wonderful memories for years to come. When we got home, we would enjoy a home-cooked meal (my family loves my lasagna) Then baths for everyone, evening prayers and blissful sleep knowing we have been blessed by God this day and look forward to many more days of love together.

-my perfect day is spending quality time with my daughters age 10 and 12 and my husband.

    - with 50 inches of snow in the past 4 days we’ve had a lot of quality time to spend together. We played Wii as a family. It was great.

    - I got to finish my scrapbook from when I went to Paris in 2003. I am looking forward to beginning my scrapbook from our family trip to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon in 2008.

My perfect day would start as a leisurely morning with my husband and a great breakfast at our favorite diner. The rest of the day would be with my daughter in FL that I rarely get to see. We would shop and eat and girl talk all day. The evening would be on the deck with a scrapbook magazine and a glass of wine. And if it was not too late a long tub bath in the whirlpool.

My perfect day would be a day with my mom and my very dear aunt who both passed away from cancer…much the same as I wished for last year.

My cousin and I formed a team named the Scrap Happy Angels and were able to raise over $2,000 in our third year as walkers. We came up with the name since we are both avid Scrapbookers. We decided to have a scrapbook day named in honor of these ladies. We contacted all our fellow scrapbookers and were able to raise approximately $1,500 with this event. We have already scheduled our next crop for Saturday, July 17, 2010. All monies go to Vickie’s Angel Walk Foundation.

It is with honor and love for these wonderful ladies that we walk to help other families who are not able to afford the many things required during this terrible time in their lives.

    Our motto is:

    Angels with wings
    Scrapbookers with heart;

    Keeping memories alive
    Even though were apart.

My perfect day would be spending time with all the friends and family I love. Some of them live close and others so very far away. I’d also get to spend some time scrapping with my 2 scrapbook buddies. I’m always so much more inspired being around other people than by myself. Maybe if I had an ocean to look out upon I’d be more inspired! :)

My perfect day…Sailing my little , 30 yr old Sunfish sailboat on the lake. The sun is hot, the water warm, the wind is high as I skim over the water, boat tilted on it’s side just between riding high and tipping over! :)

Getting to sleep in for the morning.

Have the kids listening well and behaving better then usual (they’re typically mostly good kids anyways, but they’re still *kids*!).

Enjoy a nice breakfast and then go on a daytrip. Maybe to the zoo or sightseeing etc. Preferably with our parents as well (since we’re stationed overseas we don’t see them much).

Take lots of great pics, have lots of fun as a family, splurge on a few treats or suveneers. Eat out and have desert.

Come home, get the kids to bed, and enjoy some relaxing time with hubby.

My perfect day just happened recently… My husband (of only 6 months!) and I had been on a honeymoon cruise which, I must admit, was a little disappointing, especially since there were 700 other people on board!! The best part, tho, came once we got off the ship, and into our rental car for a road trip – just he and I ALONE together. And then, of course, scrapping all the pictures from the cruise and road trip!!!

My perfect day – would be one that I could spend with my kids my granddaughter and my honey! It would be filled with laughter, stories and family time, something I want to make sure my granddaughter has to carry with her throughout her life to share with her kids and grandkids. Another perfect day would be one where I could quit my job, open up my own scrapbook business and travel…………Awwwwww.

My perfect day includes everyone waking up well rested and happy! Then my boys, my hubby and I take a fun day trip somewhere, the weather is gorgeous, and everyone has a great time. We eat a wonderful dinner and come home at a decent time. Everyone has baths and we read and snuggle with the boys before bedtime. I am so lucky and blessed to have such a wonderful family! :-)

My perfected day is sleeping in and then scrapping while my husband games next to me on his computer. We spend the day together but doing the things we love to do. :)

My idea of a perfect day. Wel,l as the mother of an autistic daughter, it would be a day where she is happy and content doing something we all enjoy. Like being at our cabin, relaxing and four-wheelin’. The sun would be shining, it would be warm with not a cloud in sight. We would have steak and crab legs for dinner and cook s’mores over the campfire at night. Then the dogs would be quiet at night so we would all get a good night’s sleep.

My idea of the perfect day would be getting my family together,(which is impossible these days) and doing something together. I would love to spend a day at Disneyworld (we have never been) and just spend the whole day from opening till closing and just having fun and take tons of pictures. Then we would all go back to the hotel and talk about the day, and laugh and no one would worry about bills, work and all the stuff that brings you down. I don’t know if there is a beach near by, but , it would be fun to go to the beach and sit there and night and talk and listen to the ocean. Yeah, that would be perfect.

If I could have a perfect day, it would be spent at Disney World with some of the people who have loved me and I have loved in return. With my Dad who left us 12 years ago and his brother (my favorite uncle!) who left us 2 months ago. My 34 year old daughter who is the only one who understands the need for being a kid for a day! We always had such great times together in Orlando – my daughter and I still do, but boy do I wish I had one more sunny afternoon to spend all together in the parks laughing, enjoying each other and just being able to say thanks and I love you. Thank god for pictures, because if I can always return to those days in my memories!

My perfect day actually would be alot like today :) I’d be at home with my dear husband who has recently retired and our two precious “kids”. Bo is a 9 yr. old Westie and Kayla is almost 2 and is a precious beagle girl. It would be chilly and rainy like today and therefore a good day to catch up on my scrapbooking while cooking a couple of our favorite dishes. A couple candles would be burning and we’d be wearing our most comfy sweats, as we’d squeeze in some parts of our usual workouts at home in anticipation of enjoying a nice, early home cooked dinner. After dinner, we’d settle in with either a good book or a movie and enjoy the warmth of our new baby electric fireplace we put in our bedroom. Sweet dreams :)

My perfect day begins when I look outside and it is not snowing. The day is uneventful
at work. (HORRAY)! Now to the fun part:
My husband cooks dinner, we enjoy steaks and salad, and then I hurray to my scrapbook room for and evening of creative fun. Swwet Dreams and Sweet memories.

    My perfect day:
Awakening to hear the sounds of my grandchildren’s happy giggles

A steamy cup of coffee as I watch the sunrise, with the promise of a warm, bright day

Spending with my wonderful husband and our entire family of children, their spouses and our grandchildren in one place, perhaps a picnic near the ocean; a day spent laughing, sharing, loving each other. Our family members are scattered around the USA and with one in the military in the Persian Gulf, and we don’t connect often enough, so there are gaps in our lives and much conversation to be had.

A campfire as the sun sets and a full moon rises.
    S’mores to devour
    Songs sung
Fireflies to be chased, but not caught
    Stars counted
Prayers said, one for the other
A comfortable pillow with clean, cool sheets upon which to lay a sleepy head…. Ahhhh

My perfect day would be to wake up to having a day free from errands and my house all clean. My whole family would be in for a visit (my brother and sisters are all out of state). Everyone would magically get along and we would go spend a day at the beach. We would pull up and find a parking spot without trying. After a nice relaxing day at the beach we would pick up my parents and would have a barbecue. We would listen to music, play games and just enjoy being together.
