Scrap Your Trip Adds 224 New and S*A*L*E Items
Entry Filed under: New Items Added
Four days ago I moved into a new house. Within those four days, it has become home. I feel more at home there than I ever did in the six months I lived in the condo in Celebration.
The first sign for me was when I changed the “Go Home” address in my GPS in the car. I had never done that. Then I changed the address on my driver’s license. I also am spending time figuring out where I want things to go, instead of just unpacking and putting it somewhere, like I did when I unpacked at the condo.
But the biggest thing that is going to make it home happened last night when the kids and I got home from after-school care. There is an alley behind our house that runs in-between everyone’s garages. As we pulled into the alley, there were kids everywhere! My kids squealed with delight and said “Look! Kids!”
Unfortunately, the neighborhood that Dad lives in has virtually no kids. So, my kids have never really had neighborhood kids to play with. It has saddened me for years and I started talking about moving 4-5 years ago. But we never did.
I had hoped that was the environment we were moving to in Celebration, but that didn’t turn out either.
My across-the-alley neighbor had a home party last night and invited me over. My default position would have normally been “No, thanks. I have to finish unpacking.” But, I decided to go and met lots of my new neighbors. They all said “Oh! You moved to one of the best alleys in the neighborhood! There are TONS of kids here!”
It filled me with joy to see my kids riding bikes and scooters with the kids in the neighborhood. I am hopeful that along with our new “home” comes the childhood I have always wanted for my kids.
Alright…enough about me! ![]()

How happy am I to have just spent that $25 gift certificate I won from you! I truly love your stuff — it’s beautiful, quality and inspiring. I applaud you for taking the courage to follow your dream! Someday…someday I might just do the same — until then, I’ll just keep shopping and scrapping! Thanks again so much!

So pleased for you and your children that you have found a place to call home that makes you all happy. And I think your neighbors are getting a fantastic gift, too!

Julie, I was just reading about you and your kids moving into a new house when I read that you have put the address of your home in your GPS. Please remove that because I read a story not long ago about a women who put her home address in her GPS and her car stolen. The person that took the can then had the home address whet to the house and raped her.
I am not trying to scare you but better be safe that sorry . Maybe you can get the word out to all women don’t to put their home addresses in the GPS because it isn’t safe.
I love all you scrapbooking items I much at least once and month.
Take care and stay safe.

I have ordered scrapbooking supplies from SYT for 5 or 6 years and recommend your site to EVERYONE. I’ve enjoyed seeing the growth of your company and reading the stories of your life that you’ve shared. It’s the personal touch of a small business that draws people in and keeps them loyal customers.
So, I’m sad to say I was remiss in seeing your original announcement about what you’ve been struggling with in your personal life. I saw the “update” on Wednesday morning, while I was waiting to board a flight and it really struck a chord. I can honestly say that I was truly heartbroken for you — for a moment — for all the reasons you indicated in your post from September (fear, grief, sadness, etc.).
But, it was only for a moment because, as a stranger, even I’ve seen what you’ve accomplished and the strength you’ve shown us in your little vignettes of life. And, they are inspiring — to your customers — and I’m certain your children and friends (IRL). You’ll discover that your indepence will be more empowering than you ever imangined! Even if you aren’t wholly convinced of it, yet, we all know you’ll be just fine!
I wish you much continued strength and peace as you navigate your new path in life. And, I hope for your continued success and happiness for you and your children.

I agree with Gwen about the address in your GPS. Put in the address of a nearby business instead.
