Scrap Your Trip Overstock S*A*L*E – 1000+ Items
Entry Filed under: New Items Added
My daughter has hit the “double digits”. Yep, on Monday she turned 10! I took her to get her ears pierced and she had a “girl hang-out” birthday party at our new house with six of her best friends from school.
It really does just seem like yesterday that “Miss Nellie”, her babysitter, made her an Elmo cake for her first birthday. But this birthday party? The girls picked up the coffee table to move it out of the way and had a dance-off to “All The Single Ladies” by Beyonce in my living room. How did nine years go by so fast?
I am old enough and wise enough now to listen to the parents before me who say “I blinked and here she is…graduating from high school”. Her life living with me is more than halfway over. It really does feel like the older I get, the faster time goes by.
So, as has been my theme for the past year or so, I am just trying to live in the present and enjoy every moment with her. Even when she was embarrassed to have me watch her dancing at her party and didn’t want me to take pictures of her and her friends. She also made me promise I wouldn’t put them in my e-mail or on Facebook.
But, I still took them. I still captured the memories. And while she isn’t thrilled about it now, there will come a time later in her life, when she looks back on all the memories I have captured of her (thanks to being in the scrapbooking world) and she will be glad I ignored her.
I love you, my sweet girl. I am SO lucky to be your Mom.

The time passes so quickly. Before you know it your child is an adult, who’s having children of her own. It really does fly. When people used to tell me to enjoy my kids while they’re young because the time goes by so quickly I would think, yeah, right. Now I know they weren’t exaggerating. My “kids” are 33 and 38 and I have one grandchild.

Ahhhh yes! My ‘little’ girl just celebrated her 27th! (yikes!) We’re making our wish list now, as we are going to the Sargent Center up in snowy New Hampshire for 3 days of scraping and chat. I am soooo excited…I get her all to myself for a whole weekend, and I don’t even have to cook! These ‘connections’ become fewer and more precious as time passes, so plan for them, and then savour every second of them!!! Cheers! (next I’ll be scrapping the scrap weekend! LOL)

I wanted to share my pleasure with the first purchase I made from ScrapYourTrip. I purchased some custom football pages as well as some other football related items. They are AWESOME! I’m so excited to use in my son’s Senior FB season scrapbook. The products came quickly too, even with the customizatin. Thanks!
I, too, can relate to the time flying, it seems that my Senior just started pre-school. Enjoy every minute!

Julie.
My Daughter’s Birthday was March 1 st
My Little Girl turned 35 on that day. I also have heard and said that old Saying Don’t Blink They Grow up fast
the night before I had run across a photo of my Daughter’s 3rd Birthday Cake that a friend of my mothers had made for her . for some of us we for some reason start feeling our age as our Children’s Birthdays get close, This year I felt mine , maybe it was because I had hit a big number back in oct I am now 55.

I am 47 and still remember turning 10, then whoo-hoo 13 TEEN !!, then Sweet 16, then 18 & voting for the first time, my first “married birthday”, the God-awful 30th birthday where I cried for three weeks, then dreaded the next 10 years until I turned 40 and then all of a sudden 40 was the new 25 !!
Love from a stranger who thinks you are a terrific kid !! Stay sweet and keep dancing !!
Happy Birthday Lauren
