I am the luckiest woman in the world :-)   I cannot tell you how much I appreciate all your words of support and encouragement on my journey into my new life.  I am grateful that you allow me to share my life with you and also that you share back!   I received this wonderful story and wanted to share.  It warmed my heart and I hope it does the same for you.
"We don’t know one another, but I receive your emails and have followed your "being single" journey. I love the way you have shared the stories of your children and your happiness in your new home. I thought I’d share a story of my own . . .

I was married to my husband for forty years, but the last 15 were lived more as roommates than a married couple. I also lost two extraordinary people in my life way too soon to cancer. I decided that I wanted (and deserved) to be happy in whatever time I had left on this earth.

At about the same time that I came to that conclusion, I reconnected (thru facebook) with the love of my life when I was 12 years old.  I sent a "I don’t know if you remember me . . ." email just to say hello to an old friend. We had not seen or spoken to one another in 50 years. The trusting relationship that we’d shared as childhood best friends was still intact and a wonderful email relationship began.

We got married in February.  I have never been happier.

So . . .be happy in your new home, enjoy every moment with your children (I know you do), be proud of your amazing business accomplishments, celebrate the amazing woman that you are, and keep your heart open. I did, and I now know what real love feels like. I got to marry my soul mate."

If that doesn’t give you hope, I don’t know what will.:-)  I have a quote on my desk that says "Soul mates are are people who bring out the best in you.  They are not perfect but are always perfect for you."  If you are lucky enough to have already found your soul mate, I applaud you.  If you haven’t found them yet, you just never know where they are going to show up from.  I wonder how many marriages Facebook gets credit for? :-)

Hi I’ve enjoyed reading your trip into singledom. I’ve been divorced for almost 20 years and the thing I enjoy the most is doing what I want to do when I want to do it. I don’t have to answer to anyone but myself and it’s wonderful.

I hope that you continue to find that life does go on and enjoy the time while your children are young and enjoy doing things with you.

Hi Julie – I’ve never posted on any blog before now, but feel compelled to tell you how much I enjoy your emails and am SO glad I found your website! I am married to my soul mate, thank god, but can definitely see how NOT being married to your soul mate is truly “unacceptable”! LOL I also loved your email about Lauren, the well-adjusted 10 yr. old going on 30! If I may quote Garrison Keillor – “be well, do good work, & keep in touch”! Thanks!!!!

    Hi Julie!
Thanks for being so willing to share little portions of your life with us. Facebook cannot take credit for my marriage, but classmates.com can. Same concept, my now husband looked me up a few years ago and we reconnected after about 20 years. The friendship we had then came back almost instantly and blossomed into more. Keep up the great work with your life, your kids and your business!
