"There are certain individuals who, in the process of resolving their own inner conflicts become paradigms for broader groups." Erik EriksonWednesday’s email was a little different for me. In case you hadn’t noticed by now, I love writing, Through this weekly email, I think I have "found my voice" and become a writer. All I know is that I write for me…I work out lots of stuff in the email I sit down to write you ever week. And somehow, in the process of resolving my own inner conflicts, I have helped many of you resolve your own as well. It’s so incredibly humbling to me. Thank you for allowing my words into your life. It’s a privilege I will never take for granted.

I have a best friend who lives in another state and we email each other back and forth many times a week, depending on what’s going on in our lives. She’s been my best friend for 55 years, when we were both 14 going on 15. We’ve been separated by geography, but never in our hearts. We used to write those kinds of letters to each other – wish we had saved them and given them to each other when our children were grown! I love the internet because the emails are so cathartic to me. I can tell her anything and she can me – it works better than talking on the phone because we get all of our thoughts down (and we still call each other). I started saving mine to her (and hers to me) in 2004 because they’re like a journal of my life. I can’t write to myself so this works so much better! I talk about my family and so much – some things I need to edit every once in a while, (ha ha) but I know what you mean. It’s so healthy.
