SHE GOT THE PART!!!!!Her teachers were supposed to send an email with the cast list after school. I didn’t get it until after 8:00 Friday night. I was going bonkers by the time I got it!
I opened the email and saw "Annie" There was a very brief moment of disappointment, because there went my vacation.
But it was so quickly replaced with overwhelming joy and pride. She got the part! Out of the whole school, she got the part!
I called her to tell her. As soon as she answered, she said, "Did you get the e-mail yet?"
"You got it!!!"
"Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!" She was just squealing with delight (*smile*)
I texted her Dad to let him know that she got the part. He said he was really excited and very happy for her.
And then the surprise of my life came across my phone…"You can have them for Thanksgiving if it means she gets to do both."
What an amazing turn of events! Thanks Tony! (*smile*)
Now, ready to see some gorgeous layouts?
This week we have SO many layouts to show you featuring SO many great collections – so let’s get started! We’ve tried to find “different” looks using the same collections to keep giving you great ideas on how to use these papers and create something very different (if you want too) each time. My Mind’s Eye is perfect for this and has the most beautiful collections this week with the more feminine “Market Street” and masculine “Portabella Road.”

"Oh Crop" Collection “Moonshine Crew” by Reminisce is a fun option for all of you “ahead of the game” (or still doing last year’s Halloween’s layouts, like me *smile*).

Who won the free orders last week? I’ve been patiently waiting for this information and it wasn’t in your weekly email?

YAY!!! I sniffled some (well, OK, a lot) when I read your post! I don’t even know the ‘lil kid, but I’m very proud of her! And you. Especially you. You have done and are doing what seems to be an excellent job handling all various aspects of your life. And kudos to dad for his generous understanding. You’re gonna have so much fun!

I love the halloween decorated candy dish. It looks like the figures are adhered to popsicle sticks painted black? Do the sticks have any kind of base at the bottom that allows them to stand up? Or are they being held up by the candy in the bowl?

First of all, congratulations to you and your daughter! How exciting!
Second, your blog posts have been resonating with me for a long time. I especially remember one from July (I just found it) where you talk about wanting your kids to grow up seeing a healthy, affectionate, loving relationship. I have two children, ages 11 and 9, and they are definitely NOT seeing that with my husband and me. And then you wrote that you are trying to model something different: Love, affection, passion. This brought tears to my eyes. It has made me realize that maybe happiness does lie ahead for me someday. I have felt very “trapped” thinking I need to stay together for the sake of the kids. But seriously, will that help them in the long run? Your blogs have really made me think about that.
And…sad to say, I haven’t been in the mood for scrapbooking lately, but I’m getting back into it, because it makes me happy…and I’m placing an order as soon as I can break away from work! Thank you for having such a great business.
Thanks for reading,
Lois
