Scrap Your Trip Extends 8th Anniversary Sale
Entry Filed under: New Items Added
Thank you to everyone for the anniversary well-wishes! It warms my heart to know that Scrap Your Trip has been able to help you with your scrapbooks. I especially want to thank Mary Lynn for the comment she left on the blog. It is so humbling to know that we were able to help in her brother’s recovery. I often say to my staff, "We don’t sell paper and stickers. We are helping people preserve the most precious moments of their lives."I loved reading about your journey! I feel like I’ve been right there with you along the way. I lost my corporate job in 2003. Right at that time my brother was in a horrible motorcycle accident and lay in a coma for several months clinging to life. When he awoke, he had no memory at all and had to relearn everything. I created a scrapbook to help teach him about his life, his family and places he had been. Each day before our visit at the hospital, he would look at the scrapbook to refresh his memory on who we were. He had been a nuclear engineer serving in the Navy and living in several places. I live in Atlanta but we grew up in Indiana. I stumbled upon Scrap Your Trip to find all the papers and stickers that I needed to put together his book.
It was such an important part of his recovery that each of my other siblings and parents have asked me to do a book for them. (My parents have a winter home just south of Orlando so we dealt with the hurricanes too) I think I’ll be contributing to your business for a long time! Thank you so much for sharing and for providing such a great resource for all of us!
MaryLynn

I too want to extend my congratulations to you and my THANKS to you for offering Afghanistan and military paper so i could do an Army book for my son while he was serving in Afghanistan. I worked on his book the whole time he was deployed [13 months] and got pictures from him and off Facebook when he’d post them there. he didn’t know i was making the book, so it was a surprise for him when he came home, and it made me feel closer to him while he was gone that I could do this book for him, made with love.
thanks and here’s to many more years..

Your story is very inspiring. I think a lot of us wish we had the courage to start our own business. I worked in Accounting for about ten years and did not really like it. My husband got a work transfer across the country so we moved almost two years ago. Shortly after, our son was born. Now I am a stay at home mom. It has been very challenging, especially without the help of family and friends. I am greateful that my husband is able to support us, though, so that I can stay home with Nathan. However, I would like to do something for me. I keep wondering what I would like to do in the future (even though I am already 35) because it is scary to depend on your husband’s income. There are things that I am passionate about like photography, scrapbooking, dogs, animals, etc… I just hope I figure out what I want to do before too much time passes by and I wonder what could have been. Reading about your success encourages me. I also love buying from your website, although I don’t get to do so that often. Right now I have a long wish list and I am thinking about buying some of those items soon because you have been having some great promotions lately.

Julie,
I am relatively new to your company but I love the items I’ve received so far. I’m certain I will be back for more in the future. The reason for my post, however, is to ask if you’d ever consider speaking at the Women’s Conference held annually in Long Beach, California? This is Maria Shriver’s effort at discovering and recognizing all issues that are important to women and this conference is HUGE! Unfortunately, I have absolutely nothing to do with organizing the conference…I just feel that you and your story would serve as inspiration for millions of other women. Something to consider.
All the Best to you and yours, Monica Aguirre

Julie,
I just recieved my second order from your company this afternoon and I have been smiling ever since. I love everything about Scrap Your Trip. The customized products are amazing. I get so excited when I recieve my order that I go through it several times. I have been scrapbooking for a while, but since I started to buy things from your company, scrapbooking has been so much more fun. I love showing off my pages to my family and friends.
I also wanted to mention that I needed to call your company about my order and wanted to tell you that I spoke with one of your customer service reps and she couldn’t of been nicer. So, I just wanted to say thank you Julie and to everyone in your company for making my memories a “trip worth scraping”.
Until the next time, Margaret Bennett

Thanks for your great selection, easy-to-navigate website and fast service (even when my order included a personalized custom item!) I appreciated the handwritten note on the packing slip too – such a nice personal touch. I will order from you again!
